I would love to contribute to this discussion Annie, but since everything I say lately is being spite-reported, I won't be participating much.

I for one do not spite report you (I know you weren't accusing me). But I certainly would appreciate your contributions to Christian Conflict Resolution 101, if you choose to make any.

Who cares about the consequences Night? Post what you think. I for one would be interested in hearing it. If someone spite-reports you, leave it to God. From everything that I've read in the Bible, God would not think well of someone holding a grudge against you and bearing false witness.

As for my opinion, the beginning's pretty grim, but the end of it is a good reminder of where we get our strength.

Lol! Oh if it were that easy Xenon. Unfortunately, I don't have that luxury right now thanks to spite-reporting. So far speaking my mind with RESTRAINT has gotten me banned twice and a perma-ban breathing down my neck. Can you imagine if I had actually spoken my mind without holding back?!

Needless to say, I would not be here right now talking to you.

So I have resigned myself to the fact that there are just some things people don't want to hear (in this case read) and they will attack you to force that point home. I have also learned that there is hardly anyone on this forum who actually sees the need for reform in the church, much less willing to start the actual work of doing it.

That's okay. There are plenty of safe, 'vanilla' isues I can deal with here. I have other forums I can go to where the hard, meaningful issues will be tolerated and a person can speak thier mind without animosity, censorship, people putting you on ignore and intolerance rearing its head constantly in retaliation.

And I am by far not the only one who feels this way either. CARM is getting a lot of our disaffected, non-Traditional CF posters.

I agree that there are people out there very trigger happy on the report button. I am new and the first time I posted something I was immediately reported. I did not call anyone or the church names but that same person who reported me flat called me a liar but I did not send in a report. I did not feel it was a gross insult as I knew with more research I could prove my point and I did. What I find funny is that the reporters run for the hills and won't respond to you.
Isn't it christian to apologise when you are proven wrong? I am in total agreement that we should work out our differences and then if it can not be worked out let it go without malace in your heart. To do this we all need to pray and set aside sarcasim, name calling, anger and grudge carrying. We have to remember we do not think all alike.
If I get reported for this of well I am thick skinned.

I had almost forgotten about this.

I think (hope maybe?) the attitude of some have change a little since then.

Of course I do have someone on ignore, so I could just be blissfully ignorant.
