Elle's story is pretty basic. An orphan, due to her mother being unable to take care of her, she was dropped off as a baby to the church, who took care of her for a while.
As a child, it became apparent that Elle was very talented when it came to mana usage, and her high mental energy allowed for her to use it a lot. The clergy decided to help her learn to use it to help heal others, and for a while she underwent medical training in that aspect. However, she never really liked it much nor showed talent for it, so after a while they let her do what she felt like.
This occurred until about age 15 or so; until then she just studied history and the arts. At age 15 she left of her own decision, and while sad to finally be leaving them she quickly adapted to living on her own, enjoying it a little. She had practiced her skills with manipulating mana for quite some time by now, but it was because of a random incident that she was able to learn how to utilize it. While exploring the region she had quickly wound up in trouble... surrounded by attackers, she noticed a branch at her feet, a sturdy one that probably wouldn't break very quickly. Fortunately, her studies of herself kicked in; realizing she could easily boost her speed, she did so, causing her body to go into a sort of "hyper mode" or sorts that allowed her to move at super-human speeds and with incredible agility and ability.
Needless to say she won, tiring herself out immensely, but the four who tried to bring her harm lay at her feet, unconscious, as she held one of their swords in her hand. This moment would change her life, as local authorities who came to help stop the bandits realized that she had singlehandedly taken them all down.
Naturally, she was rewarded for the act, but what was really notable here was the fact that word got out they wanted to have her become a part of the Royal Guard, to help lead those defending the royal monarch. Deciding that she really didn't have much else to do, she took up the offer when it came; Elle has been a royal guard ever since, and has been rumored to be undefeated in battle.
Abilities:
Elle notably has high combat skills, allowing herself to tap into her mana to boost her innate energy supply. Through this, she's developed all sorts of sword techniques that she can use, and in combat doesn't hesitate to wail on a bad guy if she's fighting one. However, to note is that she is actually not very well when it comes to defending herself, and can actually be taken out fairly easily if she does get hit a few times. However, usually her speed and halfway-decent parrying helps her not to get hit, and generally either comes out knocked out, or unscathed. She isn't too strong either, so naturally she doesn't hit hard, but instead hits much more often than others.
She also has the ability to heal others, sharing her mana which in turn boosts immune and repair systems in the target's body, but generally she's not too skilled at it, only able to heal minor wounds.

Standing 5'4" tall, Elle is typically a pretty petite girl, surprisingly enough for someone like her. Her hair, surprisingly enough, is a lavender color, wavy and extending down to her upper back, and her eyes match it, with a slight glow to them. Generally she usually wears something of a cross between your stereotypical nun outfit and a suit of armor, with no headgear; at her shoulders, midsection, and other joints you can see the black, fabric part of the outfit but everywhere else is traditional metallic plating, down to even the long skirt, which is segmented to allow for easy movement. She generally wears boots as well, and at her waist is her sword and hilt. Surrounding her neck is a necklace made out of silver, with a small cross, also made of silver; this is generally tucked inside when she's fighting.

She generally has a pretty admirable personality, strong-willed and full of energy. Due to her position as part of the royal guard of Peria, she usually cops a strict attitude, but deep down inside she really isn't strict at all, sweet and friendly. Generally she's pretty patient but once evil strikes she's out the door, always rushing to be the first one on the scene to stop the bad guys. Because of this, she tends to get herself into trouble often, and due to her abilities and low physical endurance she isn't hard to defeat when caught off-guard. Usually, she's in a pretty good mood, and is talkative when off-duty.
