CHRISTENDOM
When one refers to christendom it usually means the profession of Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the way to God-the Father. Actually, in christendom there is mostly only thought of Jesus Christ as a teacher sent by God to teach us. Within the profession of christendom is found real Christianity, and that is what is needed in the world ---ownership of Christ as Savior and Lord of our lives. Christendom is profession (much the same as Kingdom of Heaven as found in Matthew); and real faith is possession of Christ and the "new birth" by the Holy Spirit ---Kingdom of God. One needs to see this difference.
When we hear of one speaking of God and never mentioning the Lord Jesus, we can suppose they are seekers but have not found eternal life and blessing in the Savior, who purchased our redemption on the Cross, like Paul told King Agrippa (note Acts 26:27-29; also 1 Jn. 5:10-13). May every sincere seeker after God be moved to see His "great salvation" in His beloved Son, and receive Him while there is yet time (John 3:35-36).
