Thanks for sharing that! My grandfather always said the best testimony we can give is in how we live our lives and treat others. What a lovely reminder.

It seems easier for others to see Christ in us, the we can see in ourselves. I think that we get to hard on ourselves and keep beating ourselve up - at least I do.
DO others really see CHrist in us? Do they see us grow?

Have you ever had the experience where you've met someone, and you know instantly that they're somehow special? There's this air around them, and you realise that they're someone you'd love to get to know, someone who'd be a great friend, because they TRULY care? On most occasions, that person secretly becomes your mentor - you don't tell them, but you know that they've got a 'step in their walk' that you'd like to have too.
Sometimes, you can tell instantly what it is that makes that person who they are, and sometimes it takes a bit longer for you to find out. But in the end, the answer is the same. They have found Christ, and have completely surrended to Him.
When you discover that Christ is the reason, you notice all the things your friend does that Christ Himself would have done - like helping an old lady cross the road, giving money to the poor, and generally the way they live. When you notice these things, you realise that from their eyes, Christ beckons you, from their heart, His love is shed. They are the Salt of the Earth, and through them, you can see who Christ really is, and what He stands for.

As for others seeing us grow, those who are close to us will see it, and others that you pass by in the street will feel it, because now, you have that air about you as well.

I know a few people like this and they are amazing! Their love for others just seems to ooze out of them. The air of Christ is a wonderful thing.
Yet I still wonder if I am like that. It isn't something that you can just go out and get, it comes from deep within your heart. You can't always describe it with words, but you know that it is there.

You'll never know if you're one of those people, because it's not really something you see in yourself. But if that's who you want to become, you will, whether you see yourself change or not.
