That's very optimistic. He could barely get legislation passed with both houses controlled by his party.

It is not a matter of optimism.

Trump and the Democrats have common ground on lots and lots of issues. The right wingers in House no longer have any say (well they won't in January). What will limit legislation is the Democratic left and Trump's general incompetence.
