This is an obvious follow up to the thread on intent. However, I'll pose the question for this thread a bit differently:
What scientific work is being conducted with regard to choice?
As a further clarification, if that work is simply a means of building rule sets for deterministic decision-making, I'm not that interested. Next, there might be something of interest with regard to neural nets (and related methods). However, my experience with neural nets is that they are merely a way to map a particular space without the need of articulating any principles that underlie that space. As such, also not very interesting. But maybe I'll learn something.
