Oh my gosh
Praying for your comfort as you wait Dave:pray:
Do take care

Thank you Gail Sis'
It hasn't been 'a cruise' exactly, but
I can, LET GO of my yesterdays
I can, exist in the moment
and, be completely free of 'dread'
Last night's breathlessness advanced this morning to 'tight-chested'ness
My breaths are very shallow and I just cannot seem to get up [a chest full]
I can usually pump up my 36 inch chest to 39 very easily
Today I have felt 'contained' / 'restricted' and have-to breathe more-rapidly [mouth open]

After I dropped-off, two, of Mary's grandchildren at their home
I called in at the doctor's surgery, to see if I could get an urgent appointment
to see the doctor, because, I face having my procedure delayed, if I remain in this condition
The receptionist told me
that the earliest appointment available would be in one weeks time ... next Thursday ? :) :arghhhhh:
She asked what was wrong with me
and after that she phoned the doctor, who agreed to see me within a few minutes

After a lung volume test and ascultations front and back
she declared that my lungs were clear, but feared some viral 'thing' was settling-in
The doctor prescribed two inhalers...
1 steroid 'preventer' and also a 'reliever'...
I filled the script immediately [no-charge]
and have already started medicating with the steroid, 2 puffs TWICE each day
and told me to go to A&E if I continue to experience the similar symptoms
because the surgery / health centre wouldn't be equipped to cope with me

Thank you so much for your prayers [God Bless you and your Hubby]

It is raining and I have no idea what to fix my hubby for dinner...
may make him buy himself something,
I do not feel like eating out, I can cook a piece of fish,
but he won't eat fish.

A 'hungry' man, can make and enjoy a meal, made of almost-anything ;)
So happy that you are having "rain" \o/ wOOt!!!!
Thank you Lord

Today is a good day for me.
After almost three months, I was released by my doctor to go back to work.
I am so blessed.
I did ask her to say next Tuesday would be good.
Even though I have sorely missed not being able to go back to work,
the way I see it is this:
Monday's are hard enough as the beginning of the work week,
I bought myself an extra day!
Dr. agreed wholeheartedly!
Everyone please enjoy your day!! :):)

Wow.... His grace truly abounds amongst the faithful \o/  \o/
It is really great :) to hear, your good news Claire
Have a good day Sis'

I have my 'browser' set up to ALLOW first party cookies and session cookies
but, to BLOCK all THIRD PARTY COOKIES from CF and, to make a 'sound', each time it does so

My speakers, are Ticking Away, every 2 - 3 seconds
I wonder why, the server doesn't take 'NO' for, an answer ?

:grrr:

"You cannot come-in, your name is NOT on my list" .... "go away!"

Thank God they saw you right away; how I feel for you (that is not pleasant :( )
If you haven't had the inhalers before, know the 'reliever' (?albuterol) may give you the 'shakes', but it does go away.

Praying for your complete healing so that things can proceed in HIS perfect will and timing.
May you be given sufficient graces ~ strength, hope, and peace as you wait on Him:crossrc:

My 'preventer' is, Beclometasone Diproprionate
My 'reliever' is, Salamol _both, are CFC-free

Mary, has 'Ventolin' (reliever] Salbutamol

Beclometasone dipropionate - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Salamol Cfc Free Inhaler 100mcg | Private Prescriptions Online

Albuterol Inhaler - What is an Albuterol Inhaler

Thank you for the heads-up, re: 'shakes'
~just another 'step', that I have yet, to make

Thank you so-much for your prayers_ I know, that He hears them all

Ah yes...a UK drug brand.
I had a similar med way back in 1995 recovering from near death asthma/respiratory failure (one of many heavy meds)
It has the same possible side effects I see....hopefully you don't feel any!

I use an albuterol nebulizer at home as needed for flares, with an emergency RX for prednisone on hand to keep me out of the ER.
Thankfully I haven't needed a hospital for some 12 years  I have it all under control (flares like this week are very brief).

Praying they do the trick for you!

I hope those meds are the right thing for you dave...:)

Thank you Shirley
That, makes three of us :)

Actually, I am not an asthmatic
'something' has triggered an asthmatic response, in me
Mary is already wondering, whether or not, some cheap aerosols
we bought at a local shop, may have brought this about [ 2 for £1 / $ .75cents]

The doctor was thinking along the lines of 'something viral'
on account of, the rapidity of onset, of the symptoms
one day a little breathless, with very little exertion [pushing vacuum cleaner]
the next, I have shutdown, to around one fifth of lung capacity

I have already mentioned, my having been 'taking it easy'
for quite some time already ...

My biggest concern was having my hernia repair delayed
I have 'managed' for too darn long, already...
~the decorating awaits... as does the gardening

Yes, that can happen....allergic/asthma responses....along with a virus (hopefully not).

You have been so patient waiting all this time....the Lord knows I would have been out of my head

It is hard too, when you are used to being active....then are sidelined when you feel well

Hopefully the Lord plans to keep you on this earth for a good long time Dave;)

I have found myself getting angry at times Dave...at what seems like the health people ignoring you over there...but your attitude is really giving the Lord some glory. I pray this surgery will happen at the right time and be successful.

Aerosols, fragrances, soaps, cleaners, latex; I must always be very careful...it used to make me sick just to walk down the soap aisle at the store...not now, but I won't forget the season when I was the worst for chemical sensitivities.

Yes, Gail Sis'
let us be clear, that the first hernia repair, took place very promptly
and being human, this nagging discomfort HAS, been VERY TRYING

Recently, Mary questioned me
re: her having noticed 'changes' and asked if I was still 'happy' here
Surprised, that I was being asked this...
I could only imagine; my symptoms showing through my face inadvertently
Especially, when I may have pushed it back-inside, a dozen times that day

I love Mary very much and am so-pleased [grateful] that we were, brought together
I am sure she has observed those moments of extreme nausea and abdominal discomfort
and wondered, if she [somehow] were the cause for those glowering features

I do hope to put all of this behind us.... S O O N !!!

His Will, Be Done!

Awwww, find peace Shirley

Read Reinhold Nieburg's 'Serenity Prayer' [full version]

When there is nothing that you can do to change anything _for the better
ACCEPT THEM, and make the best of those circumstances
~the lesson, may be very valuable [in future]

I do, find 'other things' to concentrate my thoughts upon
~away from pitiful SELF [?]
It doesn't help at all to wallow

Mary too, has a problem with some latex gloves
and sticks with a non-irritant brand

Thank you for your hopefulness ~prompt deliverance

I do find peace dave....sometimes it takes a while...it is better for me to admit I am angry than to pretend I am not...LOL...be real with myself and God...then walk on waiting for Him to bring me into His peace.

:) Yes... I 'see' that in your posts

Usually I get a whisper in my mind... "you do not walk this way ALONE"

"your ways are not my ways" / "to prosper you and not bring you low"
"seek and you will find" / "ask, and it shall be given to you"
"knock and the door will be opened to you"

Life, has had [and has] a variety of experience for me to absorb [?]
and the best way of reducing this 'burden' ....is, to share it :)

No way could I pretend, that I am young, fit and, in my youthful prime
but wayyyy....
at least, I had all my senses 'involved' and increased my understanding

and for these trials, I have been repeatedly blessed, Praise God

That is wonderful Dave...I said before, I do not seem to want to share as much stuff as I used to...don't know if that is good or bad...it is just where I am now.

ANNNNND! Hubby was really in tune to our menu for today, he brought home a nice sandwich from a shop for his dinner...we already had 2 nights with a lot of meat, tonight needed to be something light. PTL!

I agree, we HAVE, been led, in the similar direction
albeit by different paths, with individual trials ~teaching individual lessons
By 'learning-well'.... we also acquire, further skills toward future trials

The 'eyes and ears' must also play, a prominent role

Mary and I just love visiting our local bakery shop
I love... Ham Salad Baguette
Mary loves Tuna mayonaise Barm Cake with mustard

Hello Everyone,

I see that some are still in need of prayer, so that's what I'll do. Brother Dave, I'm sorry you're going through so much as you wait for your surgery. You and others will be in my prayers. I look forward to hearing much good news in the near future. In the meantime, may God watch over all of us according to His Perfect Will.
