hello, all... Dave, Shirley and Gail.
Shirley, I"m so glad your having fun!!

Dave, sorry about the cold weather :( ... ours has been unseasonably warm

Gail, "Normal Weather"...
This has been the warmest winter I can remember...
just two days ago it was 69 degrees (in Feb???).
It's been a wet one though...
I hope it somehow has a positive effect on crops...
It would be nice to see the farmers prosper. :)

Hi Birdie

Thank you ...we are, where we are meant to be

I'm  with the weather...
It is [for sure] much better than rain, whilst all of the plants are dormant
and could, stave-off 'root rot'
Plants can drown, you know [?]

:praise:

I certainly hope the asparagus I planted doesn't drown... I just started a bed last spring... I need to build it up with a bit more dirt I think but haven't done that... potatoes are next... Going to do a raised bed of potatoes this year... Haven't built the raised bed yet... did two for strawberries and they are coming along nicely. (--2 beds-- 4 foot long x 1 foot high x 2 foot wide. ) I hear potatoes grow in anything... I might just give up on the making of a bed and buy a couple oversized flower pots. :) except with beds you don't really have to water them that often because they hold moisture pretty good.

:D

I have no-problem with driving, in inclement weather Gail Sis'
It is the often irresponsible driving of-others, that we must take care for

We have had further [heavier] snowfall
and have now between 4 -5 inches everywhere
No sign yet, of the forecasted Sleet and warmer temperatures
Presently @ -2.C

No sign yet, of the granddaughters...
Their father must be in work at 10pm
Perhaps they won't arrive, tonight, after-all

dave

PS... I will process some snowy pics shortly

snowy pics will be cool. :)

I don't mind driving in snow either ~ you're right Dave; watching out for the 'others'

For sure birdie
We are enjoying every day of mildness; it will make the winter pass more quickly!
The days are already getting longer and the sun rising higher, so whatever we do get, won't last quite as long (providing it isn't ICE )
I hope you are feeling better ~ God bless

Potatoes, produce more prolifically, in well drained soil
[watered liberally]
and produce little [or none] in heavy soil, with little water

I have my strawberries in hanging baskets on a fence
They can be seen in photos [shortly] albeit blanketed with snow :)

Some of those dog pics were movies [hence the 'blurring']

I will try the movies NEXT [seperately]

It is a good job the snow was not any deeper
or, we'd have lost sight of him :p

Also, the lowering of the head and shoulders ?
_is doggy language for, come and get me /chase me / I wanna play

What a cool way to start the morning. Yes the doggie pics were real cute to see. We have about that amount of snow on the ground here by now.
Hope that is all for the day. Such a light winter this year for our midwest area.
Am up a little early, sleep is a treasure for this senior. Would that eight hours could always be mine.

I figure my body knows how long to sleep...... will be setting the alarm for tomorrow morning though... work nights today and days tomorrow... I'll get between 5 and 6 hours sleep tops. :)
