A doctor entered the hospital in hurry after being called in for an urgent surgery.
He answered the call ASAP, changed his clothes
and went directly to the surgery block.
He found the boy’s father going and coming in the hall
waiting for the doctor.
Once seeing him, the dad yelled:
“Why did you take all this time to come?
Don’t you know that my son’s life is in danger?
Don’t you have the sense of responsibility?”

The doctor smiled and said:
“I am sorry, I wasn’t in the hospital
and I came the fastest I could after receiving the call……
And now, I wish you’d calm down so that I can do my work”

“Calm down?! What if your son was in this room right now,
would you calm down?
If your own son dies now what will you do??” said the father angrily

The doctor smiled again and replied:
"I will say what Job said in the Holy Bible"
~“From dust we came and to dust we return, blessed be the name of God”.
"Doctors cannot prolong lives. Go and intercede for your son,
we will do our best by God’s grace”

“Giving advice when we’re not concerned is so easy”
Murmured the father.

The surgery took some hours after which the doctor went out happy,
“Thank God! Your son is saved!”

And without waiting for the father’s reply
he carried on his way running.
“If you have any question, ask the nurse!!”

“Why is he so arrogant?
He couldn’t wait some minutes so that I ask about my son’s state”
Commented the father when seeing the nurse minutes after the doctor left.

The nurse answered, tears coming down her face:
“His son died yesterday in a road accident,
he was in the burial when we called him for your son’s surgery.
And now that he saved your son’s life, he left running to finish his son’s burial.”

NEVER JUDGE ANYONE

and as to what is happening or what they’re going through.

You are doing fairly well then, considering....and you are still 65 ...is there a birthday coming soon? :D

I am doing fairly well...yes, and I know it...also know the body is suffering. yes, My BD is this Thursday...ground hog's day. Wow!, I told you that, and the forum...I was always ashamed of ground hog's day...it just doesn't matter anymore. LOL

Nice post , lovely story. And I agree we are to be very careful in our decernment. I won't say judging, that implies passing sentence.
However now for my question. What to do about some e-mails that come to us that are a little 'questionable'? If it is someone who has never sent one before maybe just delete and say nothing.
Anyway I respect your thoughts on this subject. I suspect every one
has got this kind from time to time.

But of-course, some form of, censorship is required
with everything that concerns 'contact with others'

We are, all, given choice...
and are able to monitor /oversee /police, our own thoughts

On the matter [specifically] of 'dubious' emails

~we can 'respond' forgivingly and ignore, without-comment [as you mentioned]

~we can discourage anyone that persistently issues 'unwelcome' emails
with 'a polite reply' that announces our unwillingness_to receive similar

~I wouldn't hesitate
to remove a persistent sender, from my email safe-list
or even, to 'block' a spammer of, offensive material

I hope that you found this reply of some help with your inquiry Norah63

Oh yes, I 'echo' these sentiments

We got about one and a half inches of snow today

While I was out 'shopping' it was minus 2.C
The forecast until midnight is a gradual warming to plus 3.C
with sleet between 9pm and midnight
Thus this downfall may very soon disappear again

The main roads, although slushy here and there
are for the main part, clear and navigable
their having-been 'gritted and salted'

Stay safe Dave

They are hinting our weather may 'normalize' after next week.
Changes in the jet pattern were seen, that will bring more snow storms.

I hope so...I want to go snowshoeing :D

:D

I have no-problem with driving, in inclement weather Gail Sis'
It is the often irresponsible driving of-others, that we must take care for

We have had further [heavier] snowfall
and have now between 4 -5 inches everywhere
No sign yet, of the forecasted Sleet and warmer temperatures
Presently @ -2.C

No sign yet, of the granddaughters...
Their father must be in work at 10pm
Perhaps they won't arrive, tonight, after-all

dave

PS... I will process some snowy pics shortly

hello, all... Dave, Shirley and Gail.
Shirley, I"m so glad your having fun!!

Dave, sorry about the cold weather :( ... ours has been unseasonably warm

Gail, "Normal Weather"... This has been the warmest winter I can remember... just two days ago it was 69 degrees (in Feb???). It's been a wet one though... I hope it somehow has a positive effect on crops... It would be nice to see the farmers prosper. :)
