Thanks for those wishes, made me feel good. X-ray was quick and easy, probably know more when I see the cardiologist on 1st Feb.

Apart from the weather, we enjoyed the afternoon out.

No news YET from the Hospital Appointments Office
They assured me, that I would hear from them within six weeks [runs-out, Mid February]

My hernia has popped-out again several times, since last I mentioned it
but, as before, I have been able to reduce it manually
and discomfort rapidly subsides, after I pop it back 'indoors'

We'll get where we are going eventually... one step at a time

Can you wear a belt or truss...I am not sure what the thing is called. But, I thought there was a wrap of some kind to sort provide support for hernias.

No Shirley, they have been the cause of strangulated hernias [in the past]
Repair Surgery [even by laparoscopy..] is preferred method of treatment

Been there and done-that .... I will live!!!!

I know He will see you through Dave. I always need to pray for strength, grace, help from the Lord...I find I don't face life well on my own.

Since, 'that night' [in Bristol] I no-longer pray, for myself
I TRUST, that He is guiding my steps and that therefore, I cannot 'fall' [ever again]
May His purpose be served in me

You have to wait that long before you see the surgeon (consultant)?
And then you must wait again for a surgery date?

Boy, they take there time over there :o
You would have been done WEEKS ago over here!

Hmmmm....I always pray for myself and encourage meyself in His Word.

Angel' Sis'

His 'word' is everywhere that we [His children] turn
His lessons are, unmistakeably 'relevant' to us
When we lack understanding... HE KNOWS!!!!
The grumblings of our hearts speak for us, as we seek the light

We do not build our houses [temples] upon sand
but instead, continue our constructions, upon the 'Rock' that is our Lord Jesus
That 'night' [back then] I hadn't read from the bible for many decades
I had [in-desperation] cried-out for Him to intervene, to show me
where to go, what to do, how to understand: WHERE, I WAS
Long before, brought-down 'physically', financially 'bankrupt'
and alone, in the midst of my large family

I was alone, in the darkness of the shed
and, commited-to my 'intent'
It was then I heard [felt] His word tell me
"to wait until morning" [?] "things will be different then"

Yes, I was stunned to hear these words
for I could see nobody there with me
The impact these words had had upon me was, so 'reassuring'
That I was given to TRUST them, and went off to bed [instead]

For the first time in many months, I slept comfortably and deeply
Those 'words' I had 'heard' the night before....
were then, that next day, proven to me

For my 'state' was no-longer, that of my being "a waste of space"
but was indeed the 'tool'
by which, her infidelity [and her motives] were exposed
and since that day, my path has been lit by His grace

I have been through four angioplasty procedures
[multiple arteriograms and ultrasound -sonograms]
a CT scan and, two or three whole body MRI scans

My footsteps...were then led here, to CF
encouraged as I was, by 'Miggles', a lovely lady, indeed an
and then to Mary, here, in Manchester

He has been very kind and loving toward me
lifted me from the darkness and brought me into the heart and family of, good folks

Yes, His word, IS to be trusted with our heartfelt faith
The Spirit with which we have all been gifted
will translate His word to us, individually [personally]
for though our paths may be, far-apart, they lead to Him

Each of us 'unique' but, of the same body, His
