Hi Gang...I slept late today...6:30am. I needed extra time in bed, we had plumbing problems again last night...2 toilets backed up...plus the shower and bath tub.

Anyway, we had the same service here again and they cleared the main drain...trees roots were the problem...but they were way out in the front yard this time.

I did not tell you that the first problem, before Christmas turned out to be poor pipe fittings and dirt was clogging the line....not tree roots.

The good thing is, we seem to be doing fine again, and we were not charged for last night's call PTL.

I must do some chores around here today instead of playing at the pc. Imagine that!!!!

Mary and I spent the afternoon at The Lowery
where we were audience to the Stage Show "Scrooge" starring Tommy Steele
It was the very first occasion, that we have seen Tommy Steele 'in the flesh' [we both]

Very interesting, it was....
However @ £900 for every row [in the stalls] means, it is a lucrative 'business' beyond any doubt

Had a mixed day, had to have a blood test and found out that my last test that my cholestorol was 7.4!(This time last year it was only 4.5, so really must've over done through 2012). On the bright side we went to my favourite cafe for a healthy sandwich. 'The Reel' is a music shop, come cafe a great place to buy music books and strings for my guitar. Tomorrow I have an heart x-ray, don't mind but wish it was summer, as its cold up here.

Well...we will need more work done to our sewer system...men will start digging a hole 5 feet deep tomorrow. This will be outside in the front yard. The tree roots have made a nasty looking blockage and broken into the main drain. I am so thankful this will be outside...not inside...I will get some pictures, we have almost nothing planted in the yard, so where these roots came from is a mystery.

they may well have broken into the pipework MANY YEARS AGO
and only now, have accrued sufficient 'matter' to prevent 'flow'
The tree/ plant responsible, may, have long-ago rotted away [?]

Here in the UK we would use a RAT [cctv] to precisely locate damaged-pipework

You have a 'waiting game' on your hands, for a short while

Well...the sewer tech had a long "hose" with a camera he could push into the pipe...we could see the root ball very well and broken pipe...he could not get through to the main sewer line out in the street. The he used another device that could detect the location of the problem from above ground...We did remove a tree 20 years ago that was near this root problem...guess it could be from that, the ground here is hard clay...very difficult to dig...they are going to use a jack hammer tomorrow to break it up.

Thank Gail...The guy who worked inside will be doing the work outside tomorrow...he is just very nice, it really helps. We will have fair weather too...no rain expected so we should get this done in a few days...it will depend upon how how it is to dig the hole. The ground is like cement.
