It won't be from the government...we had to PAY taxes because too little was paid in estimated tax with his contract job :p

All is well ~ Lord will provide

Penny was groomed yesterday ~ she was a good girl ;) and came home pretty and smelling so sweet

We pay estimated taxes too...4 times a year.

I used a baby powder fragrance/conditioner today, it is very light and fresh, all natural ingredients. Also keeps static down.

umm

I am around

Hi Dave! Hope all is well. Thanks for making me laugh....again and still!
Where did you find the head-scratching smiley? Love it!

It's Friday, finally! I guess it doesn't matter to some of you, those of you who are retired....or really tired...as both apply, lol

Shirl, Sorry to hear that you are having trouble sleeping...maybe it's the stress of the renovations. I will be praying for your peace and comfort.
Birdie, praying that you drive safely and get your car back soon. Thanks for liking my painting.
All this "pet-bathing" talk has me thinking of how I've neglected my poor Juliette....she is a toy poodle, black. I wash her eyes and brush her hair every morning but the rest of her needs a good washing. She loves the water and will usually jump right into to tub if I ask her to. I think I'll try to squeeze in a bath for her this weekend.

Here is my updated painting....I've added some depth and story. Your comments are appreciated.

It is good to see you around again

'change' it comes to us all.... sooner or later... with more or less 'effect'

I watch, with bated breath, to see your 'painting' develop

Thanks for the smiley tips, here goes.
I hope it worked .

To answer your question: I have mixed thoughts about art school... upon completing my studies with music years ago, a teacher suggested that I "forget" everything I'd learned and develop my own style of music. :duh: ??? I admit that it wasn't a complete waste of time but not absolutely necessary (IMHO).

No, I have not yet studied painting (other than what I read online).
I just picked up a canvas, set of brushes and paints at the DOLLORAMA last spring (all for under 10$). If painting wasn't my niche, at least I didn't invest a fortune (which I don't have anyway, lol)

I did my first landscape with those basic tools/supplies and never looked back. Once I sold a few paintings, I splurged on Art Store materials..huge difference... and well....here I am! Thanks for looking!

I am really slow at getting started today...the contractor has been here painting in the bathroom for an hour...he will put on this first coat, let it dry, then return later. I am pleased to find out I don't smell any fumes.

Not much happening otherwise...I did sleep well in my chair...PTL! I needed it.

You really do have a unique style...fresh, different and sort of primitive (I think)...LOL I like those 2 fish swimming around the light and poppystorm as well.

I am not sure about the subject matter in "day of the Dead"...seems sort of superstitious to me...not really Christianity (to me).

"slow" ??

'change'.... it happens... Yeah, right!
BUT at, it's appropriate-moment*, surely ?

There are, no 'hard and fast' RULES ~
as to, when
we must be 'up and running' ~
and, at QUANTUM SPEED

'Everything' has 'a time'
and also, a 'reason'
to 'attract'
to 'contain'
to 'avoid' our 'immediate attention'

What, is the NEED 'to-hurry' ?
Eventually, 'everything' ~will, be 'revealed'
progressively
[ * 'one', step at a time*] :)

I am happy, to hear that things are progressing for you
and that
'inconvenience and irritation', haven't 'knocked, on your door'
Praise The Lord \o/

Refreshment and Rest, we, are 'given'

Yes, to 'progress'
~for, it's 'teaching', of, what is, to come

Have a very-pleasant and 'comfortable', weekend Shirley Sis'

your Bro'

almost out of food here at the house.. I had a few choices, make a rice or boxed mash potatoes concoction that isn't in anyone's recipe book anywhere, go the gas station up the street (about a mile walk) and get a sandwich or something or order out. I chose the rice (and packaged already cooked chicken) concoction. It was a cross between taco bell and new orleans. lol it wasn't bad.

oh and I do have oranges here at home, I guess that is desert .lol

Is here a food pantry or soup kitchen you can get assistance from?
Praying for your provisions Connie ~ God bless you  :crossrc:
no no Gail,
I didn't mean I could not buy food, I just don't have my car right now and it's hard to go shopping without wheels... the gas station up the street works for the basics until then.... I get the car back early in the week.... I'm sorry if you misunderstood. :(
