I hope this saturday finds everyone well...
I'm doing a few odd things around the house...
boiling my bath water lol... (getting used to that)
and getting ready for work.
It's a bit chilly with a tad bit of rain/freezing rain, but God has granted me grace not to have to drive in it.
Had to get up at 4 am yesterday morning... that was hard to do.. truck day at work, in the dark. different experience for me... my new store gets weekly delivery fri 6 am... old store was 10 or 11...
work tonight until 10:30 and then tomorrow morning at 7:30.. then off monday...
love to all......

Those are challenging hours and ((((((hugs)))))))))) for boiling water. Warm Hugs for sure.

I will pray for you and your husband. You are such a sweet lady, a true inspiration to all of us, the Lord DOES shine through you.

We are still getting snow, the man that we hired to do our driveway finished it about an hour ago, the snow was so high, I could not get out. I was able to do it last year, so was dad, but now, with my back issues and dad being terminally ill and not getting any better,we were forced to hire someone to do it.

Hmmmm, is it somebody special birthday tomorrow.

You are loved by all.

Our snow has ended and we managed to clear out....we are just relaxing now.
The roads are too bad, so I stayed home from Church.
Tomorrow the kids and grandkids will be here to celebrate

I used to think my life was crazy
No time for me at all

I miss those days when I had almost every weekend off and worked at the same time every day... I usually work three night shifts and two days or four night shifts and 1 day... It was an easy night tonight... not too many customers... Had an employee fake sick and go home... I fussed at him and then let him go anyway... Seems he gets sick every weekend. lol. I'm glad to be home now...

I am reminded frequently that we all have trials and troubles and need the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Christ. I give thanks that God loves to hear our prayers. I am always a little in awe of the ladies who need to work and do work for a living...my hubby has been able to provide for us on his salary alone...that is not so common any more. I realize this humbly before the Lord often.

lol, I've been working since I was 16. I have only been married for four years of my life and I supported him for most of it... I raised my child with no help from his dad. I've never made a lot, but as soon as my son started dating I went to college. Finished close to 10 years ago. It didn't raise my earning potential much but it helped. I'd like to go back to get my masters degree or something but money and time don't permit at the present. I'll probably work until I can't anymore (unless I get that big break).. I like having something to do. I love working. The only down side is that people can be really mean and it's a very competitive world out there. I only know a few women who don't work. I really can only imagine what that would be like.
started selling avon part time in september... I like it but can't live off of it. It forces me out into the sunshine. I deliver books door to door and it seems to improve my overall mood when I do it. So I go for a 1 or 2 hours walk twice a week or so and deliver a couple hundred avon books. lol. I get about two new customers per hundred books.

But like you, I know she will make it...she is strong too!
I started at 16 also, and after high school, had my nursing career in between the kids (until 5 years ago); averaging 35 years of part time work.
Thankfully I have a very supportive husband!

Sorry about your daughter... I wish her all the best.. Single parenthood is really hard... Some people say it's the hardest thing they have ever done. Boys are easy until their hormones kick in.. then it's a nightmare...lol he skipped school, made beer in the closet, rearranged lawn furniture in peoples yards... the list goes on and on.. Somehow he survived. We lived in a small town and his teachers were very supportive. I was glad for that. We went to church but I wish I personally would have taught him more bible. Somehow, he doesn't seem to have as much bible teaching as I did at an early age. My parents didn't go to church but our next door neighbor was very baptist.. I went with her and her family. I'm not baptist now, but they (the baptists) are very good about teaching the bible to children. Memory verses and the like. My son and I usually went to a non-denominational church. That lack of structure may have been a mistake. When I have the energy and am off work (which isn't a lot) I go up to a little methodist church near my house. I like that one. It's been around for over 100 years.. It's well established. Strong family of believers....

I pray that God blesses her efforts, or sends someone in her life to be a father to her children. boys do seem to need a strong role model. Without one being provided for them they go searching for one on their own... Sometimes that doesn't turn out so good. I probably should have married again for my son's sake, but I didn't like any of my options... I had a secret thing for bad boys myself and nice guys didn't seem to be able to hold my attention. So to compensate, I just didn't date.
