We have had some difficult times [in the past] but, those who would cause friction and chaos

Thanks everybody, it's good to be here.

My daughter's in a real conundrum right now. She's 19 and she got hit last week by an uninsured driver. Apparently the uninsured driver is able to just walk away from all this without even a citation or any consequences whatsoever. Do laws vary from state to state or something? They are totaling my daughter's car and she has no money to buy another, the amount of money they're going to give her for the car is around $300. This just isn't right!

In MA you must be insured, and that driver would have been cited!

I don't know all the legal-ese, and maybe it differs from state to state....but that doesn't seem fair at all.

Praying for all your needs, and for justice to be done in this situation

SNAP!!!

I had my car stolen off my driveway just before last Christmas
The insurance was for £500... £250 of which was voluntary excess
The insurance had to be paid up to the end of the year to qualify for the payout
[another £227] they sent me a cheque for £26.77

The car was used in a ram-raid through the roller shutter of a local store
A total write-off... and the insurance company took possession of it [worth £100 scrap]

It had a sound system worth a couple of hundreds pounds installed
and about 8 CD's in the autochanger and I had left a crutch on the back seat
But the insurance company took it out of the police pound [two miles away]
and stored-it in their yard 17 miles away... too far for me to recover the contents [valuables]

Insurance Companies, are in business for themselves...not the insured!!!!

Sympatico !!! We must hold our gifts with Open Hands... and hearts!!!!

Wow, that's pretty bad. I was telling my husband that if one of us were caught driving without insurance, especially if we had slammed into somebody else because of careless driving, we would have been arrested and any future earnings taken away.

Yes... It is strangely a CRIMINAL OFFENCE to drive without Car insurance
Police have powers to take the car away and crush it, subject to, a few loopholes

But in the case of the insured car ..being struck by an uninsured one
the first offence should also have a further charge of CRIMINAL DAMAGE
and then COMPENSATION AWARDED against the 'criminal' [found, 'guilty']

Worth complaining at the highest levels.... even, climbing over heads, to the top!!!!

Am here [presently] using Safari
Will require another IP address from my ISP

It may be nothing more than a faulty ADD-ON ....
But I am also seeing Hiccoughs during textual input
as the machine waits for the screen to catch-up with my use of Safari

I will run a scan shortly and a 'x100' ping of christianforums
It may be a local routing problem ...we'll see what is to be discovered
If anyone else has experienced SIMILAR today... please add a note below

Back in now on IE 8My problem is an add-on for the site~with it switched-off... everything works just okay I am working on WHICH add-on is being referred to in the information bar warningAm presently...running, with IE internet security on HIGH .... ie no-third-party anything but I am allowing site cookiesIt seems, that some permissions, may have become over-extendedand you wouldn't believe just how FAST, the pages turn-over....bedtime!goodnight alldave

I think that you should contact a lawyer and see if things are being handled correctly in this case. Most lawyers have a free initial consultation.

I'm a retired police officer, and things certainly don't sound right to me. Things are different in just about every state, so I couldn't tell you about criminal charges for driving without insurance. Here, it's against the law and the person would be charged. Regardless, you may also be able to collect damages in civil court. I wish that I could have helped you more.

Hi everyone...I pop in to see who is doing what, but I do not always post...seems like my energy level really varies from day to day...today I did get a walk, but I am not going as far or as fast...lots of leg pains and some new bone pain in my shoulders......

Should be able to get some cleaning done and cook a nice dinner for hubby...and sometimes as the day goes on I feel much better.

but ALWAYS, just one at a time

our bodies will adjust
blood ~will find 'another way'
The activity..... is what keeps the veins OPEN and our muscles 'supplied'
When they, get the opportunity to 'waste-away'
the 'hills' simply get steeper - the staircases get longer and
'incapacity' becomes a lifetime companion
