Thanks to those of you who prayed for more rain here in Oklahoma and Texas. Huge areas of both States got a pretty good rain this evening. I don't know how much yet, but we give thanks for it.

I saw pictures of prime farm land about a week ago. The fields looked like tile without the grout, and the crops were completely burned up. My wife and I also took at drive in the country about the same time just to try and see how the farmers were doing. The stock ponds were bone dry with dust blowing up where the cattle used to drink. The only crops were ones that had been irrigated. For those not familiar, irrigation requires big and deep wells with electric pumps to water the crops. They barely break even, only if mother nature also helps. Sadly, the vast majority of the crops in this part of the country were lost. A lot of food is grown in this part of the country, so everyone can expect to see higher prices at the grocery store and maybe even shortages. Please keep us in your prayers.

Well our rain is back but then again we did have 4 weeks of summer didn't we? do I sound jaded? Actually I am beginning to see rain as the blessing it is, it's just that we get so much of it.

Yes, rain is definitely a blessing. I seem to remember pictures of British Columbia, and it's beautiful. You live in a place that I'd like to visit some day.
