I just updated Flash last night too. It seems to have gone ok, but I'm glad we have system restore available. I've used it a few times over the years to sort stuff out.

Good evening. I think God forgot that it's suppose to be Springtime here. It's only 47F and they are talking about freezing temps for Fri night.

Ooophs... I wonder if it's going to get cold again here. We just put out 10 beautiful tomato plants in our new garden. We also put out a new oak tree in our back yard - just one to replace all the trees we lost in the ice storm. I hope that we didn't waste our money and have to start again.

We have had a foot of snow in MAY before and a had frost the first week of JUNE!

It was near 40 this AM, and overnight temps through early next week will be in the 30's :D

We just had a problem with Adobe Flash Player. We got a message to update it, which we did. Then, every website that called for it said that we didn't have it. The name showed under our programs list, but, with no content.

After trying several things, and going in circles with tech support, we finally went back a week in System Restore; and then installed it again. That worked.

So, I still don't know what caused the problem; but, at least it's behind us.

from the site that says: " you need the update "

Go directly to Adobe and update from there
If the site tells you that you already have the update
you then have two choices

#1 assume the site that required you to update
intended for you to update a modified update [?]
#2 Download and save latest Flash Player THEN
goto the SUPPORT PAGE via link on Adobe homepage
and 'learn' HOW TO uninstall 'past versions' of Flash
disconnect from the Internet and run the saved Flash Player Installer

The only safe way to update essential add-ons
is, to install from the software developer itself

I too, have seen such 'notifications' especially on facebook
we are responsible for our own computers
a case of, BUYER BEWARE.... the truth 'out-there' may not be TRUTHFUL

Thanks, Dave. We were working from the site. For some undiscovered reason, nothing worked until we did the system restore.

My son has a big concert with members of our local symphony here on Saturday. It is his whole day program they will be playing Bells and I know he has a vocal solo. They may be playing psalters as well. The big dress rehearsal is tomorrow night. I don't even think he is nervous.
