A blessed third Sunday of Easter to all!

As my campus chaplain, Bob Stamps, often said, "something so good has happened to us that nothing can ever truly be bad again."

Michael

Amen! Thanks for these beautiful thoughts. Our celebration and thanksgiving should actually be every day.

2 Corinthians 4:13-18 KJV 13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; 14 Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. 16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. 17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; 18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

If you think about this portion of Scripture, it becomes more and more beautiful. As Christians, our inward man is immortal and will live with Christ for Eternity. We will leave this flesh and blood body behind, and God will give us a glorified Body at His Appointed Time. Regardless, our New Life is every Day. We Live because He Lives, and our Life is in Him. So, we can and should have a day of rejoicing every day.

Our weather here has been great the last couple of days, and we got some help in cleaning up our downed trees. We are hoping that most of the work will be finished this weekend, and we can work on getting our yard pretty and safe for the grandkids.

That they are!
We are taking our 2 grandsons (7 & 8) for the day tomorrow; going to a children's science museum.
Should be full day of fun activities:clap:

My wife and I are getting pretty excited about our daughter's family moving back to within just a few miles of us. They'll be home in June to stay, and we can't wait. We'll actually get to see our three grandsons just about any time we want to without airline tickets.

Gail, I love your graphic about the Shih Tzu. I'll have to say that our little Shih Tzu is one of the sweetest and loving dogs we've ever had. He's 9 months old now, and he also makes us laugh many times a day. Our 8 month old female Bichon is also a loving little dog, but I really don't think any breed comes close to being as loving as the Shih Tzu for a companion dog.

This is absolutely true. However, our little Chewie is convinced that he's a big dog too...so long as he is with me. There's a big dog down the walk from us that doesn't like Chewie. Now, since Chewie is the official greeter of the complex, this is a gross insult, which must not be tolerated! So, Chewie plants his paws, and barks back for all he's worth...while standing between my feet.

:D So far, our little Hank has managed to intimidate a Robin, but a flock of honking geese scared him to death 15 minutes later. Temporarily, he no longer barks at birds or try to run them out of the yard. Both of our puppies chase bugs under the light when we take them out at night, and they are hilarious jumping into the air and swatting at them with their paws. They've also discovered worms after the recent rains. It's a big and scary world out there.
