CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi everyone I was off on an adventure yesterday so didn't get to post. Met friends and I took a ferry up the coast to meet other friends at an ocean sied cabin. IT was a beautiful day swam in the ocean had lunch and a walk and just yakked. There were folks I currently work with, have worked (now retired) with and occaisionally work with (subs). We never really get a chance just to visit and gab a work anymore so it was fun doing that. The ferry ride is pleasant too.
I got home about 8:30pm and I was tired but it was worth it. Today I have a bit of running around to do to take mom to the doctor etc. but hope to get a nap later.

It sounds like you had a great time Jan.
Not much going on today just housework and I'm suppose to meet the pet sitter before we leave on vacation. It's less expensive then boarding but I wish it was someone I knew. Hope everyone is having a good day.

Hi everyone. Keeptrying and kay kay I missed you after I posted I got busy with my running around etc and never got back to the computer. Keeptrying when do you leave for your holiday. Hope you have a great time. It is a bit cloudy this am but is supposed to be nice maybe not as hot as yesterday though. That is fine with me. We don't generally get very hot temperatures I think it was 23 or 24 yesterday but that is perfect for me and it cools off nice in the evenings.
My hubby is a bit down today as a property he was thinking about buying has sold. It was in Mexico though and I wasn't really solid with the idea myself. It is a disappointment though, I think he already had his dream house designed. But it is hard being an absentee property owner. He had trouble managing his moms rental apt. right here in the city so I think it is for the best.

Hi Jan, we leave on the 16th to travel around different states visiting relatives and just having fun. I think your right it might have been for the best about losing the property. I was told an American could not own property in Mexico just the house that sits on it? I was told you have to be born in Mexico to own land there. I don't remember who told me that so I don't know if it's true.

It looks like rain here too, at least a little bit. In our area, we need rain, though. We got a pretty good drenching the other night in my suburb but it wasn't real widespread.

Hello everyone. 45 mins. more before I can head for home. I hope the rain holds off till I get home. Traffic is always worse when its raining. No one know how to drive!

It is lovely here again today. Yesterday it was sunny but very windy it knocked down my deck umbrella but no damage done. Just want to say that I have been in contact with Springrain for all who know her. She is busy and finding she has little time to spend on CF. Things are going well with her MIL and although it is hard she and hubby are finding the Lord is supplying all their needs and they are growing and getting involved in fellowship etc. She asked me to send her love to all her CF friends.
