It took me awhile to get back to my old self after being sick.
And then the holidays just started coming faster than I could keep up.
I hope you are all well. I have thought about you all while I have been away.
Well I just wanted to stop in and say hi and see how everyone was doing.

It is great to have you back with us. Yes it is easy to lose touch here over time. I am now just getting back into it and then I am entering another busy time here at home. I have a Korean Homestay student coming for 6 weeks on Friday. I must get the room and house in order. It is amazing how quickly things deteriorate. It looked so fabulous last Friday for our Party. I am so happy to be back.
I have missed talking with all of you.
We are almost done here with our decorating for Christmas. It will soon be time to start baking. I wish that I had friends that like to do cookie swaps, but most of my friends either don't like to cook or are too busy to take a day and bake and share. Maybe next year.

Thanks for the kind words and concerns from all. I just haven't been on the net much for sometime.

Briefly, we had a bad tennant who literally destroyed our house and we have been busy with legal battles getting him out of the house. It took 4 months and thousands of dollars. The damage could reach 30,000.00 before we are done..Nasty lanlords, you know!

At any rate, we finally got him out by writing off his dates based on a ultimatum date to be out. Well worth it.

The young couple wanting to move in have friends all helping to physically pt the house back into living condition and they will hopefully be in in time for Christmas. We will give them free rent until February 1st as a partial reward for their labours..they refuse any monies for their labours.

Thanks again. We are well, but will still be absent for sometime.

So sorry to hear about the struggles with tennants. We have a small apt that we rent out for my mother in law and have been lucky with our last tennant but it is vacant now as we had some moisture damage to repair first. MY son was the first and WORST tennant. I won't make that mistake again. Jan

Jim, I'm sorry too, to hear about the trouble you had with your tenants. Not fun. It sounds like you have some wonderful new tenants, though, and hopefully they will be able to bring everything back to what it should be.

Hello njsister, Jan, Dave, Jim, Ley! I hope your day is going well!

It is cold today in West Texas. We keep on thinking we are going outside to do our lights, not so. Brrrr.

The birds keep on coming to my empty bird feeder. Well, I guess I'll go out there in a few minutes and fill it. It's something to watch these birds come in--whole flocks of 30 or more, all trying to eat at my feeder. LOL! They don't all fit!
