I am back to that soft blue. Love it. The green was getting to me.

Another coolish morning here, with a bright sun. It is supposed to get back up to 27c by week end. I hope that doesn't indicate an early Indian Summer...cos that would mean an early winter too.

Some leaves are turning, but I think that is the dry summer rather than the cold...hope, hope....

Mary's Granddaughter Louise, came to visit us this afternoon
It was the very first time I had met her
A lovely young lady in her twenties

Between Mary and herself they hatched-up this PLOT
to take me out, for a three course slap-up
at a Bistro nearby

The taxi fare was just £2:30 so, you can telll
that it really wasnt so-far away

I had a starter of Prawn Salad
a main course of chicken salad
followed by a dessert of Danish Apple Pancake
with ice cream
It was a BRING YOUR OWN WINE premises
and Mary had brought along two bottles
of, Newcastle Brown Ale (for me)

It was a lovely surprise all round
I AM, so pleased to have met this angel
to be in receipt of this loving care
and to be so very much sppreciated

I am truly blessed with the friendship of lovely people

Many thanks for your birthday wishes to me B
It is a lovely day TODAY and, not OVER yet

I received seven cards today THREE came in the post
one each, from my youngest daughter Miranda
and her two girls, my granddaughters Alicia and Keira
Mary, sent me one as did Jaqui our-friend from across
the street, who goes into hospital next-month
for a double-hernia repair
and one from May and Fred another couple living nearby

I am so happy to be a part of GE 50+
as I have been-made to feel
that I belong here
