  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Our church shares our space with an Iranian congregation. Many come from Muslim background but not all. Their pastor did though for sure. There are some Christians who have left Iran due to persecution and many were nominal in their Moslem belief. But I have heard that the Spirit of God moves mightily in this way as it is often the ONLY way. gg

Wow.

Let's continue to pray!

Good morning, Jan. Those strawberries always look so tempting!
And Ariel? How is your daughter doing? Well on the way to recovery, I hope?

P.S. I would like everyone to know that I allowed my grand daughters to outfit my CF character last night, including that big goofy red lipped grin I seem to be sporting.
The hair-do is called Grannie Hair I believe.
Actually, I really do look that goofy. But how can anyone who looks so goofy be sad? Yep. That's me!

PS:
I'm 'staying' because Mary (my angel, here) says;
that I should simply 'pass' everything I cannot 'handle' over
to the Lord

Claire, my daughter is doing better all the time. She is out of the wheelchair, off the walker, and walking on her own. She even drove herself to physical therapy. I am so proud of her. It took some courage to believe the doctor that she should be able to walk--she was still hurting some. But she's been walking for a week now, and getting stronger every day.

She is going to return to work Monday. This is important for their family. Since she makes a higher salary, her husband is a stay-at-home daddy.

I am so grateful to God for her healing. I am also so grateful to all of you who prayed for her. Thank you so much.

P.S. I love that big smile your grandbabies gave your character! It says something about you, a lovely, joyous woman of God! :)

Dave.....I will always be here or you....we dont fight the spiritual battle alone...we need the power of a multi bound cord. One strand of string blreaks alon under little pressure but where there are many single theads bound together it becomes a strong cord that can stand up to tough jobs.

Over time, one can identify the attacks that drive us into isolation and try to remove us from the strength of the cord.

You have triumphed. We Praise God together for that spiritual growth.

Annie,
I deeply regret that you continue to feel hostile towards me.
Ariel,
We used to be on each other's Friends lists, you remember ;)
You posted wonderful encouraging  words & pictures, in my _Skating_-thread. And
I responded in kind in your "Longevity..."-thread. And I repped you repeatedly, in both threads. And all was well.

If I have hurt you in any way, I ask for your forgiveness.
Kewl !
After reading my response today, (post ) I trust the Lord can help you know -
how you can *change* to living more whole.

God Bless  you :) Ariel :hug:Annie

I strongly object to the way you disrespect the people on this forum that you disagree with.

State your opinions not judgements without slams or namecalling to anyone.

Why do Christians judge one another when Jesus said not to?

DO NOT JUDGE - MATT. 7:1-5

“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and; behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.”

The scripture is our blueprint for live and eternity.
Good triumphs over evil.

MERCY TRIUMPHS OVER JUDGMENT
(James 2:13).

Just in case you have in mind to post a tirad of insults at me...I will consider it nothing more than the what Jesus Christ himself endured when they beat him and spit in his face and crowned him with a crown of thorns.

My strength is in Lord as I stand benieth his cross at Calvery!

The words of men will not diminish my strength as the Holy Spirit dwells here with me.
