You've all been busy today while I was out gallavanting. Actually as I am off I had a day out with my Mother in law and we shopped for this and that. She finds it hard these days as her MD(macular degeneration) has really affected her vision. She says she feels stupid and I know she struggles a lot with things like bills and bank cards and stuff. She is so healthy in every other way it really is a shame. Jan
PS I made the right choice with my outfit. Yep raining again today. lol

Well now it is raining here, who knows when it will stop, heard on news we are supposed to get snow storm on or near Easter!!! So don't put that shovel away.
Thought that was the flower i gave you.

Hey that is not an issue here except up on the mountain where I don't go. Anyway Bonnie thanks for the other two flowers. I deep sixed the umbrella to show up the pretty blue flower. The hibiscus I will save for sunnier weather. Thanks again you are so sweet. Jan

I do have to admit I am sick of rain. We have exploded our monthly record again by about 50 cm. It is time for sun besides I have to get out and canvass for the Kidney Foundation. Jan

Oh my you are a busy person Jan. The rain has started here today I mucht admit it is better than snow. Heard we are supposed to get one more snow storm either on or before Easter.

Hey, Annie, I used to sew, too!

And I thought that the clothes I sewed were far better than anything I could have bought. For one thing, I could have a longer hemline. Lol! Talk about the need for holy clothes--do you recall the mini-skirt days?

My skirts used to end half way up my thighs! Yikes! But then the Lord began speaking to me about the way I dressed. So down those hems came. That was in my 20's. But to do that, I had to sew my own clothes.

And sometimes I think I should start sewing again, because it seems fashion designers aren't too concerned about making a woman look gracious and elegant...

Yes, I recall the "Mini-skirt days" - Does that face tell you anything?

Thru-out my life, especially in my Teens, I dressed very-modest = Hems not only at,
or covering, my knees - but in fact, I enjoyed wearing billowy-dresses down to my ankles .
Neck-lines with lace, (had no breasts , so that wasn't an issue).

To this day, I enjoy wearing Ruffles, Lace and
(Ribbons in my long (often braided ) *Honeyblond-auburn* hair).

AND to this day, I go practicing my Skating, in jeans - which I get laughed at for.

I need to start wearing *appropriate* __Skating-practice__ dresses.

Light rain showers and mild. Love it! I was out checking the new fruit trees I planted last year and they seem to have weathered winter...waiting now for signs of new growth and blossoms.

I saw two Canada Geese to-day in a large field. Another good sign of spring.

I have a really sore big toe on my left foot. I wasn't sure whether I should post it here or make a NEW thread in the general forum.

Aw Jim, I'm sorry you have a sore toe. Did you stub it? Or cut it? Or maybe a hangnail? I'm sorry.

I'm looking out the window and watching the sunset hit the new leaves on the trees. They are glowing yellow and pink. It is so lovely.

Symphony..Symphony! Music is all I get from you lot. Even wife just laughs at me. I must pull sock over that sore toe,,then put foot into shoe....Cor blimey! I should at least get a tear or two. I knew better about lifting rocks. Wife even told me not to lift it, but no, I had to be smarty pants and lift the rock. Yes, it fell on my big toe.

Did you know one can get a headache from dropping rock on big toe? yes, indeed, a headache. So, it is not just a sore big toe, but headache too boot!

Mind you, if this keeps up, I will give wife a headache too, and then more than my big toe will ache.

Lovely day to-day. It is already up to 9c. I trust everyone will enjoy their day, despite my sore big toe!
