Oh no Dave.....do take care!

It seems Joyce is close to the time she will be needing placement in a nursing home.
My MIL had to be placed when she became unsafe (even with home care aides).
Very sad...but it is for their good,
and she will actually be less afraid,
and will enjoy life with people around her all the time.

Whoever is in charge of her care
should be notified of these changes
(or the agency caring for her); her time is coming SOON!

Praying for her peace and safety....and for your health Dave.

Mary and I are are concerned for her dog "Sonny"
if she goes into care
He will not be allowed to stay with her

It is not possible for us to take him in, either [Would not be fair on our dogs]

Yes I agree, that Joyce requires much more [a great deal of] monitoring
Her doors can be left 'unlocked', until very late at night

This sounds like almost too much for you Dave...
you have such a tender heart, but also a heart that is injured...(((((((hugs))))))).

I use the car, to go visit Joyce
and with that vision interference in my eye, I simply won't drive it
Plainly, there is 'a limit' to the attention that we can give her, these days
and other means, will have to be investigated, just, to keep her safe

I am having problems, with my Graphics Card

It has begun to 'play up' by flashing my screen ON & OFF
I took it out 'cleaned' and replaced it
and have it 'working' temporarily to post this message
It is prone to displaying in that on and off manner, at any time ~after warming up

I have another [somewhere] but is so old that it may not function adequately either

If I go offline, I have fingers crossed
that Mary will give me some 'time' on her's again
But, as this may become somewhat of an imposition
It may be some time, before I am able to 'buy' another

Continuing to pray for all here

UPDATE:


Having received another graphics card [from our window cleaner] [?]
I finally got around to beginning to replace my old one [today]

Here is what happened......

I opened the case of my computer, and removed the "penny battery" for a few moments
this, to remove the 'Flea static charge' that supports [old] bios settings on the motherboard
and, lo and behold.... my Dell computer is again functioning.... WITH ~the old graphics card in situ

My 'guess' is that when I downloaded 'drivers' from Dell for my computers 'bits and pieces'
the 'bios' was thrown a wobbly [aka: a curved-ball] and couldn't handle what it was receiving


For now, I am 'up and running' [in the Dell PC] and, have not located any problems
I will now, carry out a system compatibility check and also, run a DskChk\ F on the drives
But, this post, confirms I have internet access, with a very decent 'screen view' of this site

Meanwhile, back at the gym, I don't think their air-conditioner was designed for 103F - even with the 3 giant fans they have. So, a free trip to the sauna at the same time. I'm sure that it seems hotter than it actually is, but we sure did some sweating today. I don't like sweating, but they say that it's good for you.
