This will be so nice Dave...to have your own pc to use again.
Adobe has just announced that it will not sell the Photoshop versions anymore...
they are going to CC...Creative Cloud...
they want us to rent that program for $20-$50. per month, we will never own it...
perks are you get new tools, etc automatically...
that is just tooooo much money for me and many folks.

I may put my element 9 back on my pc...that is my most current elements...
and I have CS5.

Yes Shirley, it feels really good to have it back 'up and running'
I have the CD/DVD ROM and the CD/DVD RW installed now
and the Floppy Disk Seek is now disabled
with the Boot Order set, to C:\, CD/DVD ROM, USB Flash Drive

"Money Makers", the world is full of them
As a note on the matter of 'cloud cost'
Windows Live Skydrive has added tools [for free] to users
that enable them to edit image files, even though, they don't own the software
[I will post links to information, when I come across them again]

Soon I will have-to consider installing and using Open Source Operating System
[in or after April, or May, next year]
just to continue being able to get online
Unless I receive a 'windfall'.
This, because there is no way that I can save anything of my pension toward an OS upgrade

Got some blood work done this am...
and I will be seeing a new dr for my phyisical soon.

Our weather is calm and warming for the weekend...
we do have fires in the southland...not close, but I don't like any of the fires for any of us.

Prayer: for good blood results and, an uplifting outcome to your exam

Thanks Gail, it will take a few days for the tests to get to the dr...
I will set up an appt...next week.
I had a lot of blood test done in Feb when I had pneumonia...hope I am still ok.


The techi was very good with the needle this morning...that is always nice.

I must commend the nurses and nursing sisters, at the hospital and the health centre
that have blessed my arms with sharps
The 'care', with which they extracted five/six vials [per-session] was nothing-short of 'angelic'
Back in Bristol, was another story altogether [on several occasions]
there, I have experienced two 'complete misses' and a 'right-through'
which provided me with an arm-wide 'bruise', in the pit of my elbow

A CF member answered my questions and I reinstalled Firefox...
no issues so far

I used to do venipunctures when I was a visiting nurse.
Nothing bothers me more than to see someone all bruised and sore
Hubby was butchered one time;
he was a mess for almost 2 weeks from the blessing into his arm tissues
I had a good touch I must say

Those labs techs really matter...the good ones are priceless. Don't know if they are accountable to anyone...they should be.

Unless they really mess up....not much is done, and sadly some patients do suffer when a tech is not adept

The gal yesterday used a tiny needle with the little tube connected to it and she drew several viles of blood that way. She did it in my more difficult arm too...I told her she was good, because she was...

I have been having a problem here in GE this last two days
~when I go to Index page and 'select' to go to 'Last Page' [most recent] of a thread
I am taken to PAGE 10
and find ,I must advance one or two pages at a time, to get to the LAST PAGE

This, is 'a trial' [let me tell you] especially in some of the older threads

I will stay a while longer ~for the most pressing of threads
but this is a real struggle ... I am using Firefox.... [really strange]

Hmmm....I have the subscribed thread function going...click that and come up with the recent posts...no problems for me. I don't go to many THreads tho.

No problem for me either Dave...I just switched from google chrome back to firefox and both were fine

I have a 'pipe line' in my dominant arm, so I always make sure to point it out.
Even so.....occasionally they mess up

People who use this kind of needle are more sensitive to their patient's comfort I think...every time i get blood drawn this way it is very easy.

O Dave, my vein has been punctured too...I gave that girl a holler, the blood started to spurt...she left and someone else came and did a good job...boy, you don't forget those things.
