How horrid about the Boston Marathon explosions. I got home from shopping, turned television ans a news report was on. I guess we're still pretty vulnerable in certain situations.

Hi all my lovelies, letting you know that I am back but not without setbacks and need for prayer, we are all moved in to our new home but we have all been really poorly, as the cold weather did not let up and we had flu and colds twice over and I have just had a severe migraine and very sick for a whole week, I am still very weak and only just starting to get back to regular meals, as I am on thyroxine meds not having food means the meds were not working well so my body is really run down and now hoping that as at last there is some sunshine we will all start picking up.

I would really appreciate prayers for healing from the Lord.

I have some catching up to do with you folks, and will read as much as I can. hope you have all been well, you have all been in my prayers precious ones.

Still trying to unwind....being with people can wear me out, yet I need to be with them anyway...I need to grow a bit in patience for sure.

Maybe you can put things back bit by bit...I do that some days after bringing in a lot of groceries...just take it in stages...everything gets done in time.

We got all the cleaning done and the kitchen put back together, as well as wall decorations in the living room and hall.
Tomorrow we will wash the living room rug, and later polish the wood stove.

What a tragedy for such a wonderful event
There are 2 dead and upwards of 55 seriously injured.
Reports are now coming out of 2 other bombs having been found.
We got take out for supper and been glued to the tv....interspersed with times of prayer

I did not know anything about this bombing in Boston...just read your post here. Apparantly no guns were used...people who want to harm or kill someone will find a way to do it.

Yes Marsha, the news was horrible....

There was 'a brief mention' on TV here
concerning the possibility of harm to a British contingent
More detailed news and pictures [incl' a video snip of the explosion]
was found on our MSN homepage 'NEWS'

Unless a 'group' claims responsibility and ~declares a motive
I would be 'open'... to consider, that this is another
'cat amongst the pigeons' / 'diversionary tactic'

Man's 'inhumanity to man', is not, a 'new event' in the world

Like: "Mustard Gas", "Lewisite", "Sarin", "VX", "Agent Orange" and "Napalm"
to name only a few
and just how many were made in the US, would doubtless, also, surprise you

'Al Quaeda' will doubtless 'be accused' of this 'act' of inhumanity
God knows... 'who', planned and carried out this surprise attack

I wouldn't ascribe such a horrible act to the criminal fraternity
and to 'guess' in the absence of evidence ~would also, very-likely, blame the innocent

Oh that, is a saying we use here

explanation:
"Throw a cat amongst the pigeons",
~causes such a degree of alarm and despondency [amongst the pigeons]
that they FORGET COMPLETELY,
what they were doing/ thinking ~to concentrate on the 'present'
consequently
leaving those otherwise important matters [like: 'politics', home, feeding, fun]
'on the back boiler'
ergo: a "diversionary tactic"

example:
WHAT ? led America to invade Iraq "in the search for WMD" ?

Now, at a time, when America, is having a truly tough time with 'swallowing'
what their President is IMPOSING upon them [?]
They are beset by yet another tragedy [to consume their thinking power]

Whoever, 'so neatly' demolished the World Trade Center Towers
gave the then President, REASON, CAUSE and NECESSARY SUPPORT ~to do
what most Americans would not agree to have happen
[were there to be no Al Quaeda, after all ?]

Especially 'suspicious', was the failure [/decision NOT TO] SHOW
the body of Bin Laden
_ie: 'the body' of the person [as shown in past media images]
or, iow: the 'FALL GUY'

WORDS are so easily spoken.... the TRUTH, can be so utterly concealed

WE as a nation are getting to be shell shocked...2 ladies were discussing this in the dr's office today.

We were shook up when the rampaging cop was so close to us a few weeks back.

I have plugged in to the new office, the heart and lungs sound good...PTL, no real news to report, think that is good. Blood work will get started as soon as I get into the lab on a fasting day.

Lots of seriously injured folks out there today...many lost legs....

Penny came back from the groomer looking beautiful and smelling sweet

We never did get the books/cds back up today (there is always 'tomorrow' ), but the carpets were all cleaned and the furniture put pack

On our 'to do' list ~ prep the garden and start seedlings (soon),and clean the cellar (during black fly season).

When we recover we'd like to re-paint a bedroom, the PC room (new rug in there), and polyurethane our 4 season (all PINE porch), finish painting the outside of the house.

We have all of retirement for these chores; they will get done when we get to them (minus the garden of course)

We're going to sleep well again tonight
