Hey, Gail, good to see you still have power. I've watched reports that said Boston already has 18 inches on snow. A foot is the most we ever got in one hit, back in 1978. Anyway, just take care when you start clean up. Do you have snow blower? All the cleanup may leave you too tired to snowshoe. Hopefully, it won't melt too soon.

We have gotten a few feet before; thankfully this is not heavy, wet snow!
We do have a snowblower that Jim manages (our driveway is very long and steep).
I clear all the stairs, and cars and bulkhead; depending on how much we get, either he or I will rake the roof edges (from the ground with a long roof rake).
We will clean up one day, and snowshoe the next (or the day after if needed LOL)
Monday we could get a mix....hopefully not ice on top of all this!
I just pulled out the battery lanterns; the lights keep flickering.
It is piling up out here...time for bed ;)

Just checking in while we have power; thank God we never lost it last night!

We are BURIED in almost 3 FEET of snow...it will take a while to dig out; the roads are barely passable.

I can't even take pics yet, because the snow is hip deep just off the porch and it is still coming down

We have managed to shovel a TUNNEL (literally) for Penny to relieve herself

There is a lot of blowing and drifting....and the wind chills are BELOW ZERO.

I see the news saying this storm is the second biggest in history....my goodness it must be cold there...we have a few inches of snow on the ground this morning. I am thinking you are well stocked for a long time at home...food, water, etc...(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))

I am very glad to know you are safe and have power.

Usually it is a slow melt and gets absorbed into the ground.
Thankfully we are on a hill....so it flows away from us....down the road...and into the lake.

We have an ice/mix coming Monday and maybe another storm next weekend
So we will be raking the roof edges tomorrow and finish clearing the cars.

They reported the update on your killer cop on the news tonight  Lord have mercy! :crossrc:

Thanks for praying for my online friend. The Lord provided for her needs; a lady from her church spent the night with them. I don't know whether my FB comment got'em talking or if they thought of it on their own. But, thank the Lord! They also didn't lose power.

You have a lotta snow, Gail.

I've tried to stay somewhat informed about the winter storms. I understand they've completely closed some major cities (i.e. Boston). They've even said there's a fine for being out in it. I can understand that. After all, emergency services workers would have to risk their lives to help someone that should NOT have been out in the first place. I would simply ask that you all stay safe and know you will be in my prayers.

The Governor banned travel in all of MA....1 year in jail and a $500 fine if caught on the roads.
I am happy to stay snug in my house thank you ;)
Thanks for the prayers...the coast still has a major cleanup ahead as the storm is just subsiding there, but the worst is over, thank God

Yeah they are still looking for him....and have death threats on other people by him

Yes we do.....and lots of plowing besides the driveway; paths around the house to get to storage sheds, clear the wood piles etc

That's country life in New England...of course we got 3 times as much snow in one storm, than we normally do....so that's what killed us today.

We are tired and achy tonight :p

Today is a new and beautiful day here ~ Praise God
May you all be blessed in His Merciful Love  :crossrc:

I bet you are tired...that is a lot of work...I am glad you still have power...many do not have heat right now and its cold.....brrrrr.

I loved church today...I am slowly knitting into the body there...will begin those Monday morning meetings a week from tomorrow...very low stress.
Tomorrow Gracie gets her shot, plus I want the vet to examine her leg...we are making her rest a lot more again.

Gracie gets her bath this week too...otherwise, we will be quiet..
Still no word about the cop gone nuts....he is out there somewhere.
