It's the European ROBIN Grandma

aka: The British /English Robin

It actually lives, in bushes nearby our garden ~along with Mrs Robin

He's beautiful!! A little different than ours. I love birds and sit watching all the birds that come to my feeder. I think my favorite is the Indgo Bunting with the red House and Purple Finch as runner up.. but then I love the way the Nuthatch comes down a tree beak first.

Twas’ 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38
When 20 beautiful children stormed through heaven’s gate.
Their smiles were contagious their laughter filled the air.
...They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there.

They were filled with such joy they didn’t know what to say.
They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day.
“Where are we?” asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse.
“This is heaven.” Declared a small boy “We’re spending Christmas in God’s house.”

When what to their wondering eyes did appear,
But Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near.
He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same.
Then he opened his arms and he called them by name.

And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring.
Those children all flew into the arms of their king.
And as they lingered in the warmth of his embrace,
One small girl turned and looked at Jesus’ face.

And as if he could read all the questions she had
He gently whispered to her, “I’ll take care of mom and dad.”
Then he looked down on earth, the world far below,
He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe.

Then he closed his eyes and he outstretched his hand,
“Let my power and presence re-enter this land!”
“May this country be delivered from the hands of fools”
“I’m taking back my nation. I’m taking back my schools.”

Then he and the children stood up without a sound.
“Come now my children, let me show you around.”
Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran.
All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can.

And I heard him proclaim as he walked out of sight,
“in the midst of this darkness, I am still the light."

Dave, your Christmas card has arrved safely...very beautiful too, sent with love, thanks so much...I will be keeping it out on my bookshelves.

It is raining here....I love it...Gracie will get a bath today and I will piddle inside. Been searching for pie receipes and posting stuff to pinterest, I plan to make a pumpkin pie topped with pecans and a coconut cream...just what we need...lots of calories, but O so yummy.

Hi everyone

We are indoors again today; the ice/snow is melting with the rain and warmer temps.

I will be getting my Christmas food list together for shopping, and wrapping the gifts for my grandsons (and Penny has a couple of toys from santa ).

Just what I need as I am only 7# from my goal weight now praise God
My doc appt went well Friday; he was amazed at my progress this past year; only through the grace of God

Re: the vaccines we all discussed earlier ~
My doc decided it was NOT a good idea for me to get a shingles vaccine, because it is a live virus with possible side effects; it also costs $200, and you still have a high % of occurrence anyway.
If you know what to look for, prompt treatment lessens the course significantly, as I saw with hubby.

I did get a TDAP vaccine (tetanus,Diptheria,Pertussis), because I needed the tetanus booster and we have grandkids, which outs us at a higher risk for pertussis/whooping cough.
It didn't hurt going in, but my arm ached later, and the past few days I had some redness/swelling and a headache; now it is bruised

After the New Year I must call for a Pneumonia vaccine booster (they had just reordered their stock).

There will be no white Christmas for us this year ~ it will be clear and dry

I have been chatting by phone with my friend phyllis...over 2 hours...that is normal for us...need to get lunch then bathe Gracie...it has been raining all morning...the ground will be happy.

Gail I am so glad you are doing well...PRAISE THE LORD!

Don't know yet what our weather will be like next week...we have had many, dry, clear days here for Christmas...no rain or snow mostly.

Our friend and neighbour Jaqui, liked Mary's Bobble Hat so much
that she has begged me, to make her on [in Black]
I started it earlier and will, finish it, before lunch tomorrow

Being 'black yarn', I am having some difficulty seeing the indiuvidual stitches
because, after a while, the yarn merges in to a homogenous black sheet
I have NEW glasses, but this economy lighting, doesn't help at-all
