Shih Tzus are so funny ~ independent and individuals
Penny has always loved the cold and snow.
She avoids WATER....goes around puddles, hesitates to do her 'business' outside if it is raining (but will), and loathes bathing; she would never go swimming

We bundled up for our (brisk) walk today;Penny even donned her pink hoodie
It is brutally cold with the wind off the lake and wind chills in the low 20's.

O my...we can still wear t-shirts and sandals here...at least during the day. The nights feel cool.

Did a lot of nothing yesterday...plan to tidy up the house today and find a groove, if there is one...to live at home for a while.

We had a busy day of shopping, got our walk in after we had a quick lunch, and then Thanksgiving decorations were put away.
Tomorrow Penny has her grooming appt, we will be making soup from the turkey carcass we froze, and I will start decorating for Christmas

We had a busy day of shopping, got our walk in after we had a quick lunch, and then Thanksgiving decorations were put away.
Tomorrow Penny has her grooming appt, we will be making soup from the turkey carcass we froze, and I will start decorating for Christmas

I got a lot done...the house is in order, laundry done and put away...some dinner in the oven...this will be a very quiet week...just what I need. (((((hugs)))))

I got my decorations up from the cellar, but I will take it slow putting them out
Some may stay packed away or tossed out; I want to simplify even more

I hear you Gail...I have given away a lot of Christmas things...I have an artificial tree up that needs to be attended too...remove old lights, etc. Boy, maybe I actually will do it. LOL.

I have a lot of candles, love to light them during the winter months. I might rake some leaves tomorrow...then maybe not...

I LOVE scented candles in the Fall and Winter

We keep our little 3 foot tree decorated and 'fluff' it up each year.
Every 5 years (or when needed) we strip and re-do it

Today it LOOKS like winter, with light snow falling, and sticking to the pine trees and ice in the coves

ETA: I got the house decorated ~ I am beat...didn't stop all day
We will dust off the tree and put it out tomorrow
Then I will get to work on my cards; we cut way back due to postage costs, and just send to loved ones we don't see.

I am sooo slow today...but I did walk with Gracie...it is harder here because nothing is really flat...my legs are hurting. Hubby had us up at 3am...I like to see him then, he talks and is awake...but it sort of wrecks my day...makes me tired.

We got hot walking...very different from your east coast weather. Hope my engine gets warmed up eventually today...but I did the necessary chores yesterday...leftovers for dinner.

Wow....great hubby there....and those are comfort foods. Today was a better day for sleep and schedule...we are walking about mid-day...it really is not hot, but we get warmed up while we are out there.

My day was low key....did a wash, and got the tree unbagged and fluffed up
I didn't sleep well due to allergies (headache/congested/stuffy ear with decreased hearing), and probably over did it yesterday
After resting and meds, I am much better tonight; back to watching the diet too....indulged in too much wheat (breads) since Thanksgiving

I don't eat wheat either, or wheat glutin...but when I do on rare occasions I don't get much reaction now...but my rare occasions are just that....ver rare...I eat a lot of rice for carbs and fiber. (((((hugs)))))....those allergies are miserable.

Just saying hello to all. I'm enjoying having my son living with me for a season. He's the quite, laid-back one. He's still doing his online classes in business. A part-time job would be nice for him. He has pretty bad psorasis - I feel bad for him. Some jobs he thinks would be closed to him and he's right, sadly. He's such a good person with some obstacles before him. I need faith to believe that his life will work out well for him.

I haven't gotten my decorations out yet, the few that I use. I sometimes wait until a couple weeks before Christmas. I really don't like the shopping part because my resources are so limited. I try to stay upbeat because the Lord has always provided for me; sometimes it's just hard to be obedient and take no thought for tomorrow.
