Mary and I attended a 'farewell party' for, one of her grandsons
[earlier this-evening/last night]
Having graduated University, he, is off, to New Zealand with his girlfriend
[I heard... for two years]

It was a family gathering and I re-met them ALL
A 'Daughter-in-law, of Mary's, raised the matter of, our becoming wed

LOL

Sooner, rather than later... was the implied 'motive'
~We have now been offered
the venue for the reception 'FREE OF CHARGE'
The daughter-in-law manages the 'club'
in which, the party took-place


Watch This Space.... It is the 'hottest topic' locally

My hair is too thin now to look nice longer...but I keep it short because of the mite treatments...would do more if it were not for that...have some better sort of style.

I used to have the latest, most popular style all the time....would change it often to go with the trends...those days are over, I am glad I can still walk now. LOL

I'm glad yesterday is over. That sleep study left me very tired.

What did they do to you in the sleep study?

Hope you get the kind of rest you need today...It was pleasantly cool early this morning, I got a nice walk in....Gracie went nuts in the mud puddles from the sprinklers...so she got hosed off before getting inside....she will get a thorough brushing later today...I want to clean floors...they are pretty dirty for my level of clean.

they hook a bunch of wires to you and you're supposed to sleep. They said I did for a couple of hours. It felt like I awoke 100 times. I came home and slept from 8-noon. I don't yet know the results.

But 'first' we must [essentially] examine
ALL, of the likely consequences and, with 'very-focussed attention'
to possibly serious, financial 'changes' to our pensions

This may, be so-serious, that it will deter our taking, such a step

We had a nice funeral for my aunt, and her sister had a lovely lunch after.
A couple of my uncles came; it was nice to see them

We just went for a walk; I was dragging by the time we got back home (I slept terrible last night, so I am beat )

Many couples here have the same concerns; in getting married they lose up to half their combined income and wouldn't have enough to survive

Hi Gail...I always think of your Penney, when Gracie is romping thru the mud...LOL...she likes to get wet. Since she is so small, it is not hard to clean her up.

Penney reminds me of one of our cocker spaniels...he was raised on a flannel blankie...and he did not like to get his feet wet or dirty. Gracie does not have that issue.

My effort for the day from Ephesians 5...we are to follow God as "dear children"....my goodness that is personal...just like Jesus always did what He saw His Father doing. That is a high aim to shoot for in life...good thing God helps us to do His will.

Can't believe that we are halfway through another week. Trying to sort out all my books, games and films. Found out that I've got more guitar books than I thought, but I've a choice of music to learn, decided to go for John Denver, Country & Western and the Beatles (Well, I can dream).

Hubby does John Denver and used to play country (oalso n guitar), but the Beatles music he found challenging
Now he does classical and inspirational hymns etc; he used to play in the folk group at Church.

We have no musicians in the family...but we do love music...I really like classical guitar.

This day is going by fast...I was up very early again and got a walk in with Gracie...went out to get some groceries, put gas into the car...my goodness, that is costing a lot these days.

I also got a small container of pepper spray to take out on my walks...the coyotes are out, not to mention loose dogs running around.

Have any of you ever used or carried pepper spray?....this is new for me.

I may sit back for a while...there is a football game coming on tonight that I want to watch.
