I am all messed up today after just a few hours of sleep.
It is noon and I am just up from a nap, and having breakfast
Hubby wants to go out for an early dinner, when we get a break in the weather.
Tomorrow it will be more stormy, so we will come home right after Church.

I read there were severe storms out your way...people dead and power out....

We have that humidity returning next week...yuck.

I got mostly everything I was looking for here in town at the outlet store...I can get great finds for a good price, most of the time there.

It is quiet now....earlier there was a cement truck making noise with the north neighbors...and a tree trimmer sawing away a tree at the southern neighbor...it was a lot of racket for a while.

We are ONLINE

I had-to replace the telephone extension wires, that bring the phone into the living room
the previous ones, got hacked away, during board fitting

They made a really nice job...taking them just four hours
It will without a doubt, be several days, before we may call the living room "organised"
But hey ho... We have no complaints

Yes, it was a big surprise
I was up at 8am this morning...'they' did not arrive until after 12 [midday]
That, is of course, irrelevant, as the floor was completed, so-quickly

We just got back from dinner out; It cleared a bit (and may be stormy after Church tomorrow), so hubby wanted to have our dinner out tonight.
It was nice to get into air conditioning and have a nice meal prepared for us in this humidity

The flooring looks great Dave; I am happy for you!

We will be watching the Olympics; starting here @ 7:30 EST
I love the ceremonies and gymnastics the best

Be sure to give 'spoiler alerts' Dave, if you chat about it before we see it
It may be tough 'keeping mum' at times

Your yard always looks well watered...so green and yummy. Mine is down right dead in some places...reverted back to the desert clay...it just costs too much to water the thing.

I lost interest in the Olympic Games, when I saw it as a political 'jobs for the boys' setup

The Prime Minister and President Obama...
have struck a 'Mcdonalds Only' >> Food Monopoly for the games site

The Great British Fish 'n' Chips with Peas
or, Pie 'n' Chips, with Peas 'n' Gravy, have been forbidden/ outlawed...
in favour of the "Big Mac's" and the fat/starch [manufactured] "Fries"

So much for our government's stand against the causes of morbid obesity
But why can't we EAT BRITISH in England ?

The other qualm I have, is re: the 'Private Police Force'
that the government engaged to provide 'security' for the games
~ with Public Funds
I would like to know how many politicians, sit on it's governing body [boardroom]

These 'under the table' dealings ...so soon after
the minister's allowances scandal, has me seeing them as the British Mafia

These Olympic Games, are simply a money-making 'fiasco'

"You scratch my back and I will scratch your's"

Yes there is Gold to be won, at these games, Silver too!
But it isn't the athletes who will walk away with the Lion's SHARE

I won't be watching..... for the principles that I cling to

From the bottom of my heart, I wish your "young athletes" well
May they ALL return home, triumphant

I would be so-happy, [deliriously ecstatic]
if British Athletes did not take even a single Gold Medal
throughout the entire games
THEN, maybe folks would look further afield, as to the reasons
for, the necessity to spend so-much public money, in such ways
and maybe also note... that nothing [at all] from the profits
goes back into the Public Purse

They spend the money, like, it rains here
and then we hear that they intend to raise the cost of Gas...
to cover the costs of their planned expansion of their production facilities_
to meet future further need, ~without giving out shares in their company

What kind of twisted investment protocol has domain in such cases
A service company SHOULD first, supply the service
BEFORE it is paid for that service
Why should we pay it to grow more massive_
only, to have it charge more, for future/ ongoing service provison, also ?

More amazing still, is the March of the Olympians into the stadium; there are countries I never knew existed

I've noticed there are a lot of vacant seats in the stadiums and it's even been commented on the tv. Apparently they were bought by corporate organisations, but no one has turned up.
