it is monday, boy does that seem boring....I was up very early, got a short walk in before sunrise....cleaned my floors...and went out for some shopping....got a new toaster for one thing...it will toast a lot of different sizes and shapes and defrost things....hope I like it.

You're ambitious! Unless the day is packed full, I'm not an early riser, now that I have few responsibilities. For reasons I haven't completely figured out, I enjoy passing time more at night. I get up about 9, although I'm awake at times before then.

Hope you'll enjoy you new toaster. I have one large enough for bagels.

This one will toast bagels...also longer slices....we do get large size loaves of bread sometimes....like French breads, special breads....etc.

This one has two slots...but each side could hold 2 regular sandwich bread slices....it is more than enough for us....there was a 2 slice model there....but the unit was bigger and very ugly .

I like beans and rice....especially black beans and rice...the combination makes a complete protein.

I also like Bloomer breads
but we don't buy them often, simply because
I cannot finish a loaf, before it is past it's best
and, you cannot buy a half pound version [shucks!]

I understand...we are the same way about some items....the 2 of us just cannot eat some perishables fast enough....so we don't get much that we know we will waste....I hate wasting food.

By the time I was eight years of age, I had 'memorised' the quotient
of the entire 'times-table'
like; 7 x 9 = [?] by the time 'equals' is read, '63' is being said
and 9/63 = [?] by time 'equals' is read, '7' is said
I still didn't pass the eleven-plus [shucks!!]

Whatever you think Brother Dave. I think that I might have made 1 or 2 posts. I think of Daily Cheer as positive, uplifting, encouraging, funny, and nice. I have definitely missed your posts there, so I would vote please do.

Before I forget it, I have my stitches out and I'm feeling a freedom like I haven't had in a long time. I have a page full of exercises to start tonight and a little ball that I'm supposed to squeeze numerous times every day. I've given myself a little break before reading everything I'm to do. I will never again take for granted how useful hands are to have. They told me I would have to do as I was told for a 100% recovery, and you can be guaranteed that I want that 100% recovery. I just wish that I had done this years ago. I just might have to dance:

I hate wasting food, too. It's taken a while to learn all over again how to shop for just myself. Even a small amount goes a long way.
