:) hi all... sorry your crabby shirely (or were crabby)... glad everyone made it through the storms... We should get rain tomorrow... someone said something about never being through tornado warnings... said it might be scary.. for some it is scarier than others... there is a threat... I've resigned myself to the one that gets you (if it does ) you won't see coming... I'm a real heavy sleeper so I actually sleep through most of them and wake up in the morning to the news... I live in a trailer and occasionally go for shelter, but the last time I did I drove right under the tornado to get to it...lol... They are dangerous... but I've lived in this area all my life so I don't think they bother me as much as they should... (One part brave, two parts stupidity. lol)

It is a not common here, but can be very dangerous and damaging.
I pray for those who live with the threat Be safe

That was cute! :)
Thanks for the smiles today :)

I'm hoping that you needed the rain. We've had fairly good rain this year, but we will welcome all we can get. Our farmers and ranchers need a slow, soaking rain.

Oh yeah! It's been generally too dry of late. Most everyone is happy for the rain.

The only problem from my standpoint is with the intersection just to the right of our front door. They've torn out all of the conrcrete and dug deep holes throughout to effect major repairs on the water lines as well as to smooth out the terrible bumps in the street. The telephone pole on our street corner is being held in place at the moment by a large truck with heavy duty clamp on an hydraulic arm attached.

Unfortunately, the rain has made it all a muddy mess. They had three guys out this morning pumping out the excess water to speed up the drying so they can get back to work. In the interim, we're pretty much limited to using the alley in back the house for regular access to all destinations.

Well... give God the glory anyway!

Thanks! Unfortunately, the city is not very fast as finishing projects like this, even when the weather is good. Maybe God will give them a little nudge!
That sounds like Massachusetts :p
I am feeling a bit better...need to slow down on the "inside"...
Glad to hear it ~ I sure can relate

My wife and I have also lived in the heart of tornado country all of our lives. We paid much closer attention when our kids were still home. We do have an automatic weather alert radio that does a great job and takes most of the work out of it. On rare occasions that sound really bad we take shelter in our bath tub near the center of the house.

With the kids grown and gone, we actually spend more time trying to make sure that our kids know about severe weather coming their way - one in Oklahoma about 100 miles from us and one in North Carolina.

Brother, I'm hoping that all of the inconvenience will be worth it. I certainly agree with your last sentence - Yes, may God get the Glory.

too funny... My mom died 3 years ago.. but she was my weather alert...
she lived in florida her last few years.. she would call me up and say..."Connie you have a storm coming in you need to watch the news" or "Connie there are heat warnings out, turn on your ac..." lol
