  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The product of greater presecution is greater blessing.
(we are all greatly blessed)

How much has the affluent North of the world & the West to learn. ?
Do we have to know such persecution, to grow in our understanding of the honour of being in Christ & realise in it's rare state the grace of God.?????????

No, we don't. It is actually our own choices. We can choose to honor God and love
Him even when there is no persecutions. Like Abraham. He is very blessed by God but he still chooses to live a fully honored life before God. I think we need to develope a kind of obedience to God, in which, persecuted or not, we will choose to honor, revere and love our God with all our hearts, souls and minds. Well, this is easier said than done, for myself, I know persecutions and hardships do build my trust, reliance, obedience and faith in the Lord.
But then, I remember, everyone in heaven loves the Lord with all their beings and yet, no one is ever persecuted... there. Haha...

><> ><> Thank you, Jasmine. I'm pleased to here that you are not under any government or other political pressure.
I wanted to hear of the thoughts & lives of those who are wanting to post in this thread.
My daughter in law is mainland Chinese & is there with her family. We will see them back here for a while in January.
I suppose my comments where directed to those in or from China.

Are they suffering from persecutions? I know China suffer from persecutions, but only if their churches are not the state-sanctioned registered church. The underground churches suffer from persecutions, though. You read the book by brother Yun, called Heavenly man?

Side-note: I don't think many persecuted chinese will be able to post here. They can't write english and the government of china will not allow them access to an online internet forum, for fear of international publicity.

Hi,
I'm in China too, however, I have no ideas that what "underground Church " is.
Albeit, The religious policy is now bright enough, I think only if you're a desperate anti-communist, you need to attend an "underground" church.

Please tell something about China unmisapprehensive.

I'm in Shenzhen, if you are interested in what a China Christian Church is, you can visit the Website www dot szchurch dot com

Thanks

><> ><> With respect, I have a chinese daughter in law, ( her family are from Shenzhen) who is in this country at the end of this week, with her husband & children. I was very happy to be at her wedding in south China in '94.
I think you will find that the ''underground church'' is the Church (or body of people) who has God in Jesus Christ as it's head. & who's church leader's get their guidence & envisioning, for thier present & their future, from.
For whom the religion of communisum is not the be-all & end of all.
If your a follower & lover of Jesus & want to gorify him; you would need an underground church for the freedom to do so, these are the persecuted church bodies.

So what happens in China if people find out you are a Christian?

><> ><> Agreed- Interestingly the overseas ''Christian'' is greatly respected, in the teaching & other such responsible situations.
This is because of the the ''morals'' they demonstrate. Not bozy, women chasing, disrepctful & or anti authority.
The teaching from the bible is almost ''expected'', for the Westener is seen to be ''Christian''. Which we know that this is far from the whole truth, but opens doors a crack which is all God needs.
I knew a chap who came over from Africa as part of his ministry training. He believed this to be a Christian country.
It was very sad to hear him say that he had thought England to be a Christian country. We all bare a part in this viewpoint, I believe. Was it ever a ''Christian'' country to any better degree than now??

Oh, I know the long history of Christianity in U.K. a little, which brings the whole world justice, peace, and love. That is awesome. But Chinese church has received much native opinion not from Bible.
