Chinchillas

Does anyone here have chinchillas?

I have two violets, called Boo and Misty. Boo's my favourite as he's got a real attitude, and he's got a tiny bite in his ear from when he was little, he was the runt.

No one seems to know what chinchillas are let alone have them....so just wondered if anyone here does?

I know what they are! Petsmart sells them here. Which I was surprised to see the last time I was in there. My best friend used to have them also. I don't know enough to want any as a pet. Do you have a problem with them and the dust batheing?

them dust bathing is well cute!!! they have a special bowl which they bath in every other day. Their gorgeous and very clever.

Does the dust get everywhere? I always wondered about that.

the dust goes over the floor but its not too bad, its easily swept or hoovered up. They really are gorgeous though, Misty's very placid, will fall asleep if you hold her long enough
chinchillas are lovely pets, only real prob is that they love to chew wood ALOT
