China!

i am Chinese and i have recently received my calling to go witness to people in China.
I got to go to bible college first though and that will take 3 years.
I am just worried about the persecution that goes on there, i have left the country for 9 years now and i don't know much about it anymore.
Also i am worried about my girlfriend, we plan to get married stright after we finish education and i don't know what to do with her if i go to China. I am really afraid that i will put her in a position of danger if i take her, yet if i don't, i may not see her for at least 3-5 years. I mean i don't want my newly wed wife to be without me for 5 years.
I know that China is quite messy, it has gangs etc. My Gf will only be 21-22 in 3 years time, and i am afraid that if i take her harm will come to her.

So does anyone know that is there anywhere where westerners are concentrated and the crime rates are low?
My family is located in Changsha, Hunan and Sheng Zhen.

So has any one been witnessing to China lately? what do you think will happen if i do take my GF, will she be ok?

We will pray that you and your family are kept safe. I would try looking online for some former missionaries to China or even some who have returned for a short amount of time. If I find anything, I will definitely post the link here. By the way, I'm sorry for the delay in a response. I've been very busy!

I think you will be fine I get the feeling the Chinese government doesn't enforce those things as strong any more.
This will be a great experience for you, so look at the bright sides!
I think in the large coastal cities, there ate many westerners and it is quite safe.
And I see no reason why no to take your girlfriend with you.

yes China is quite messy, but i don't think Christianity from occident is bright.i wouldnot witness to general occident christian, for they are from exalted occident civilization,but iam from wretched China, who is not a follower of Nicea conference in 325AD.

I would be careful about any preaching in China.

That being said, Westerners are plentiful throughout China and I'm not sure what gangs you speak of, but I've felt safer walking through back alleys in the middle of night in China than some American neighborhoods in daylight.
