I agree entirely.

Nevertheless, it hasn't stopped this tidbit from entering the vast body of Marian theology which continues to grow in the Catholic Church. The next tidbit will be when Mary is identified with the Chinese Buddhist goddess of mercy, Guan Yin.

Now here is the real question.

After the Rapture, Do you think that the Roman Catholic church higharchy will be pretty much in place so as to allow such an ecumenical movement as that to take place?

I believe that will be the case. The Catholic church with lots of money and power, China/India with lots of manpower and the religious fervor of the Muslims will create IMO a vast powerful army.

I certainly think so, as well.

the one child policy is no longer in effect
it didn't apply to many couples because of exceptions

many girls used to be abandoned
that has dropped off dramatically in recent years so many adoptions agencies have closed their non special needs China program
people can only submit dossiers for children with special needs now

The one-child policy is still in effect, but it has been modified considerably, as follows:

1. Minorities (there are thirty-one major minorities in China) never were under the one-child policy and still are not subject to it.
2. If the first child born to a Han couple, is a girl, then the couple is allowed another child. If the second child is also a girl, then if the couple wants a third child they must pay a steep price to to government to, in theory, cover the cost to society of this extra mouth to feed. If additional children are wanted, then the price for each additional child is adjusted upward. There are wealthy Chinese couples who do have more than two children and I knew of one family (minority) which had seven children.
3. If the first child born to a Han couple is a boy, then the additional price paid to the government applies to all subsequent children.
4. If the first child is a boy, or there are two girls, and these have severe handicaps, the children (with the parents' assent) will be placed in a home for handicapped children and the couple will be allowed to have another child.

As of two years ago I was on a flight to China with a fairly large group of American parents who were adopting baby girls. Girls are still considered less than useless in mainstream Chinese culture because their duty is to care for their husband's parents in their old age and not their own parents.

6 Statistics about China International Adoption - International Adoption | Agencies, Cost, Photolistings, Process

"Recently, again because of changes in governmental policy, the number of healthy girls has all but disappeared, and the vast majority of adoptions out of China are of children with special needs–both boys and girls"

True. It is not illegal at all to adopt healthy children (male or female) from China, just extremely difficult, especially with healthy boys. The government is reconfiguring its population policy to avoid the route Japan inadvertently has taken which has resulted in an irreversible population decline.

Now, I do not know anything about this topic, but It seems to me that I remember reading somewhere that only the 1st born "MALE" child was able to inherit his parents estate.

That then was the reason why so many female babies have been aborted so that the parents, since they could only have ONE child could try again to have a MALE.

Right or wrong????

Chinese woman don't necessarily want more children

Why don’t Chinese women want more children? One word: fear

Quite correct. The culture strongly dictates the need for a son and if that entails having another child the cultural pressure usually wins out. Chinese men, however, seem to want children. It is not at all unusual for a Chinese man to marry a woman, have a child (this during the one-child period of Chinese history), divorce his wife, marry another and have a second child and repeat the situation as many times as possible. I have a Chinese friend who was the second child in such a succession of three marriages which produced an older half-sister by the first wife and a younger half-sister by the third wife. My friend is extremely conflicted about his filial duty to care for his father in his old age, having been raised by his mother and her family.

Chinese morality, even traditionally, left much to be desired by Christian standards, and today the moral structure of Chinese society is rapidly breaking down. The reform of the one-child policy is an effort to stem the tide of divorce and remarriage in China.

Maybe there's a way to show Christ from that analogy. Christ has many children being the male of the family producing while the female as the church has but one progeny?

That could be a very slippery slope. Jesus Christ is the unique and only son of God the Father. All the rest of Christianity are sons by adoption through Jesus Christ.

Agreed.

And on top of that, the "progeny" --- the church came FROM Jesus and Jesus did not come from the church.

Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. The progeny is God’s thru rebirth from corruptible seed to incorruptible seed.
Christ is the Father’s Son and we are His also as His children. Same Father different mothers? Too confusing for me ;)

I do not mean to argue with you on this, and I think we are saying the same thing, however, lost people love as well as does saved people. Love is really not the answer IMO.

Only those who believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ are born again and they make up the Church.
