Child sees a demon?

I am hearing lately of demon possessions and attacks. This generation of Christians including myself are not taught how to deal with this other than the Bible. Most of our people ignore the whole topic concluding it sounds too crazy to exist or too scary. But I can tell you that I personally have have been tempted and have had strong demonic influence though never possession. I don't think Christians can be possessed but attacked or influenced also known as demonized. It sounds like this child was being attacked and was doing the right thing by calling on the power of Jesus to save him from it. I myself have woken up from serious dreams screaming in the name of Jesus because I couldn't breathe. It was like I was being smothered. It's real. I can "feel" the presence of them but have never been able to see them and I pray I never do. Point is if we're walking daily with the Lord we will have the power to overcome evil. This little boy somehow knows more than we do and thankfully so. Sounds like spiritual battle is raging at home. May God win!

AMEN!!!! so true! i believe the reason there are soo many demonic attacks is because we are nearing the Arrival of Jesus Christ. Look at all the signs all the earthquakes; all these rumors of wars, all the coldness in the hearts of people; this sudden selfish rise in the church where the belief is to speak only about what God can do for our finances instead of what our finances can accomplish for the work of the Lord. The closer we are to the end times the more crazy the demonic world is going to influence as many people into hell as possible. But the great thing is i really feel like the church is about to break into a huge revival as never seen before and God is about to pour out in a HUGE way

I see the same thing prmiami. Except that I see a divide. Less gray area of belief. The pattern of this world says that the time is near. The Christians are awakening from their slumber. I also see the ones who are choosing not to believe becoming evil and are also strengthening. The pieces are in place, we need to pray for the lost and for our own people. We may be tempted one day to renounce God over our lives, money, family. I see the groundwork for this being laid as well. But I am so encouraged that everything the Bible prophecized in the end is coming true. I never thought I'd see any portion of this... I also can't wait for Jesus to return. I love my family and do enjoy portions of this life but just think how much more joy and love we will have!

It is exciting to see that we are living in end times but sad to see all the chaos! My heart breaks to see how many people have been decieved. we need to pray that all those under attack are set free from these demonic forces because even though it seems as though the devil is strong just think about how much stronger the Lord is that demons shudder at the sound of his name praise God!!!

I would pray for discernement as it could be anything causing the child to say he saw demons. But it is possible he did as children and animals tend to be infinetly more perceptive to the spirit world then many adults give them credit for.

We are living in a time were there is so much occultic influence seen and heard on an everyday basis in cartoons and other media. Some cartoon adveristments give me the chills and I feel overwhelmed knowing so many unsupervised children are watching such programs, reading book series based on vampires, playing games with characters that look demonic and listening to music that makes me ill. And some of the tshirts, clothing and toys I've seen makes me want to say in Jesus name walking through a store or even a bookstore. We need to know how to pray to protect our children and seek guidance how to reach out to other children who have parents that ignorantly let them be involved in such activities. End of rant

My girlfriend, Angela, is a Kindergarten teacher. I was volunteering in her class recently, and during free time we observed a child sitting in the corner speaking out not too loudly but rather forcefully "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus!" over and over as he rocked back and forth in his chair. He confided in us that the devil kept looking at him and described him as being red, Angela believes he may have also mentioned red eyes.

Is this not an odd phrase for a 5 or 6 year old to just know and say? The boy said he has been to Church and Sunday School before, but his family does not attend regularly; although he seemed to believe they were going to start going soon. Angela says that when she was talking to him he gave a full account of what salvation was and that he knew Jesus would protect him. She also mentioned that he used words uncommon for a kindergartener (like "redeemed"). Angela knows some things about the parents that lead her to believe they would not have been the ones to impart this wisdom to him (trouble with the law etc.).

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

Sorry to post on something from 8 years ago but I saw it and had to weigh in.

Children absolutely CAN see demons; when I was very small I used to suffer demonic attacks. The worst of these came when I was leaving my room to use the bathroom. When I opened the door and entered the hallway, I was greeted by a demon that took the form of a white cloud. The demon emitted a loud screeching sound and moved towards me; when it hit me it knocked me out cold. I did not see this demon in this form often; typically the demons took another form (which I will not describe in too much detail here - these demons I would see so frequently that I gave them a name, because I did not know what demons were). But the one thing they all had in common is that they would scream if I looked at them. The cloud screamed at a higher pitch than the other demons, which was definitely odd.

Even now I am still attacked by demons, I see and hear them. I prayed to Jesus, St. Padre Pio, and my guardian angel, and to retaliate the demons made me sick. Now they are attacking the relationship I have with my girlfriend.
