"A young man approached me at a seminar and stated, ‘Well, I still believe in the big bang, and that we arrived here by chance random processes. I don’t believe in God.’ I answered him, ‘Well, then obviously your brain, and your thought processes, are also the product of randomness. So you don’t know whether it evolved the right way, or even what right would mean in that context. Young man, you don’t know if you’re making correct statements or even whether you’re asking me the right questions.’"

Evolution is not random. My species evolved as a result of natural selection.

The initial genetic change may be random, but not the outcome. There is no such thing as a "right" way to evolve.

Another example of AiG getting it wrong.

BTW this should be in E/C.

Yes, but Natural Selection doesn't only mean that an animal evolved from another animal, rather that an animal can evolve within it's own species.

Didn't pay attention when people pointed out in your other thread that evolution/creation is a different forum?

The young man replies "You're the one who has no clue regarding making correct statements or asking the right questions. I never mentioned anything about believing in evolution. Maybe you're confusing my belief in abiogenesis with evolution?"

Sorry, I missinterpreted Natural Selection, never the less, I also believe in Natural Selection, only my presuppositions is the bible.

After all your protesting against evolution, it turns out you believed in it all along. Oh, the irony.

I don't believe in Evolution, I do however believe in the same evidence that you do, the fact is, we all have the same evidence, we all live on the same earth, in the same universe, but we have different interpratations of the facts, which start with our presupposition.

Someone's been reading too much AIG. You accept evolution, and probably don't even realize it. Almost all people do, they just don't know the proper definition for evolution.

The chap obviously has no idea how even simple neural networks work.

They work sort of like this. The more biased information that is filter by the network the more the network will be "attracted" to this type of information.

Not really true. Sure we have philosophical presuppositions but, when it comes to science and the study of nature, evidence and testable empirical findings rule the day.

Long before Darwin, Christian geologists showed that the earth is very, very old... Evolution is simply a fact of life. If a species did not change and adapt to new surroundings it would die and become extinct as a whole...

God doesn't want us to become extinct now does He?

Some of us are free to believe either way as long as we acknowledge the hand of God in it.
Even if God made our bodies using some process involving progressive changes the distinction between us and the rest of the animals here today is too great for that process alone to explain how we became human.

What are you trying to Do BC convert these poor lost souls so they won't go to Hell?

The fear of Hell, is the basis for Christianity

Right!

And the evidence points toward a very old earth, evolution, dinosaurs that did not exist while people did, and the fact that the sun being created on day four, while the earth on day one, causes a serious gravity problem ;)

Here is "evidence": A Christian Perspective on Radiometric dating
