The problem is that "charismania" groups and Prosperity preachers have departed from the simplicity of the true Gospel of Christ. They no longer have their full trust in the finished work of Christ on the Cross and repentance from sin. They have replaced it with a mystical "experience" they call "heaven coming to earth" (as Bill Johnson teaches). Part of this experience are the kundalini manifestations we see in their services, confusion of tongues in public services, false prophecies that either say nothing, or made up of false promises that are never fulfilled. So, because of their departure from the Gospel of Christ, the Holy Spirit has been replaced by a "strange fire" spirit, and has opened the door for spirits that are not of God to invade. The deception is that these people don't know the difference between the Holy Spirit and the strange fire. Another feature is that holiness of life is not so important, and many still have sin in their lives. So it is common for "charismania" people to be involved in immorality, fornication, adultery, inappropriate content, consequently we have seen prominent ministries fall from grace as their dishonesty and immorality has been revealed for all to see. This is why those false "word of knowledge" ministries can use facebook profiles and pre-interviews of attendees to their meetings to make it appear they are having "words of knowledge", deceiving their listeners. The tragedy is that they think they are doing nothing wrong. Their consciences are seared so they don't see the evil of what they are doing. The real tragedy is that they are deceiving good people to think that they are the true Charismatic movement when in reality they are a "charismania" heresy.
Broad brush characterization. There are excesses in many different churches. I have witnessed bizarre commotions in non charismatic churches as well. Be carful not to throw the baby out with the bathwater. No one will dispute there are false preachers, teachers, prophets and so on but that does not change God's Word. If fact God's Word told us there would be these things in our midst.

The true Pentecostal movement occurred at the start of the 20th Century. We think that what we have today is the same as to what happened then. The fact is that it isn't. The Pentecostal movement today is nothing like what it was then. In fact, we have little idea of what the Pentecostal revival was like 1902, because none of us were there to be eye witnesses. For instance, the early movement consisted in a revival of holy living and a burden for lost souls. Multitudes of souls were won to Christ. Prayer was the foundation, and Mr Seymour at Azusa Street spent more time in prayer than anything else. When the next generation stopped praying, the movement changed, losing its cutting edge. Consequently, after 110 years we have Pentecostalism in name and its articles of faith, and churches full of people having a good time and doing some social activities in the community, but the real power of the Gospel of Christ has leaked away. Most have lost the art of persistent prayer where prayer without giving up is vital to achieving a revival. As James says, "We have not because we ask not." We have people who are playing instead of praying, organising in the supper room instead of agonising in the upper room, superficial instead of supernatural, and people being sanctimonious instead of sanctified.
I like your post.

Most problems occur when people ignore the Bible and don's spend enough time in prayer to know what Gods will actually is.
