  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

If an ape did evolve into a man or split from a chimp to become a man or whatever the current consensus is, why would it not look like this? While driving cars and playing scrabble.

Not to be ungallant, but have you looked in the mirror lately?

I am asking why an evolved ape wouldn't look like an evolved ape.

Uh, humans do look like apes. Front facing eyes, grasping hands, hair all over our bodies (though not as thickly as other apes), ears, nose, and lips in the same place, ape teeth. Really, the only reason humans don't look so "ape like" to you is that you just think they don't. And to be frank, if we did have thicker hair all over our bodies we probably wouldn't be having this conversation, because it would be pretty obvious how much we resemble other apes to the point you couldn't deny it.

Well done.

So are we apes wearing human suits?
Um, maybe try not basing your understanding of scientific theory on bad 70s movies?

No, Godzilla is not a realistic depiction of a dinosaur, either.
