• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I KNOW, this is a really pathetic thing to do when I'm not studying. But I admit, I did it anyway. I made my Foru.ms character look like one of the characters from my novel.

Anyone else ever do this?

*Sigh*
Anything to avoid homework, I guess...
I do that quite often ^_^ I've spent hours trying to get her to look exactly right. Oh, and never chat in a thread with a bunch of older women when you're making your cfc look like your character who just found out she's pregnant. The awkward questions were astonishing.

Ummm..... take a look... lol. CF didn't have everything I wanted to put on my character, as far as his wardrobe, but I just imagined that since, at the time, he was born on Earth, he could get away with wearing clothes from there. And I'm always a sucker for trenchcoats on fictional character avatars.

Besides, the sword should be clue enough, lol.... as if the background didn't shout "Fantasy Character!!! He has magic powers!!!!!!"

Not necessarily. I've done my cfc up as fantasy-esque characters that weren't necessarily from my novel. They weren't even necessarily mine. It's not as much a dead-giveaway as you thought.

...

Can it be both a real-life likeness AND a character from a novel?

...I'm sure there's something in the anti-guide about including yourself in one of your books, so...should I hide my face now, or should I find a paper-bag first?
