Why are you telling the bible to take a hike?

Yes, you like to stalk me with that line of questioning; and, believe me, you wouldn't understand the answer, if I gave it.Also, I edited in a question.
I never read bible quotes.Yes, you like to stalk me with that line of questioning; and, believe me, you wouldn't understand the answer, if I gave it.
But I'll give you something, just so you can have some deep theology to scratch your head on.
1 Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
Thanks for the QED.I never read bible quotes.
And I note that you cant answer, just as I suspected.
I'm not sure quite what is meant by being 'wrong about science'. As far as I recall, I've understood what science is since first being introduced to it. I have at one time or another misunderstood or misrepresented a scientific concept or theory. Making mistakes is part of learning.Have you ever been wrong about science before?
You don't need to elaborate.

There's another way to go wrong with science too: by using it to produce products that God disapproves of.
Such as tobacco, LSD, alcohol, and the like.
You do know that nicotine (tobacco), cannabinoids, opiates etc are natural plant products, right? Also, pretty much all rotting fruit produce alcohol - chimpanzees and elephants are known to enjoy consuming such natural prizes. There's another way to go wrong with science too: by using it to produce products that God disapproves of.

Nonono, god has told him in some mysterious way that he cant explain that the things he disproves of does god also not like. What a coincidence! You do know that nicotine (tobacco), cannabinoids, opiates etc are natural plant products, right? Queue "that's Satan messing with nature" assertion....
I didn’t really believe that anthropogenic climate change was real in the early 90s. I doubted the science.Have you ever been wrong about science before?

LSD has been making a come back as a treatment for PTSD. Alleviation of suffering is a good thing, I’m sure we can all agree.

I think the idea is ‘I believed in sciency thing(meaning- not the Bible) and it turned out wrong’.I'm not sure quite what is meant by being 'wrong about science'.
Yup.LSD has been making a come back as a treatment for PTSD. Alleviation of suffering is a good thing, I’m sure we can all agree.
That is correct.I think the idea is ‘I believed in sciency thing (meaning- not the Bible) and it turned out wrong’.

Oh, IC. Anyone who's been in these science-oriented forums as long as AV should have learned by now that science isn't about belief, it's about provisional acceptance, as in "I accept this theory as probably the best explanation we currently have". This indirect approach makes it easier to accept change by reducing explicit attachment to particular theories. As the Buddha said, "Attachment is the root of suffering"I think the idea is ‘I believed in sciency thing(meaning- not the Bible) and it turned out wrong’.
Cue thalidomide reference.
