Chain messages and Demonic attacks

Hi I'm probably thinking way to much into this but I was on facebook a min ago just looking at some pictures and saw a message that said warning continue to read or you will die. I seen a message like that before but did what it said but that was before I became a Christian. I know they are silly things to scare people but is there anything in them or could there be?

Really would like to put my mind at ease as this hasn't helped as am also currently being attacked by demonic images and images from my past whilst I try to get to sleep and this one now surely isn't going to help.

I've noticed that since I have gotten more involved in my church and getting to the Lord more the attacks have gotten more as well it seems that the evil dosen't want to let me go after 12 years. I am coping well but some advice on both these things would greatly be appreciated.

Satan always attacks those he doesn't have!! He's trying to get us to fall away from our faith in God. He doesn't mess with others because he already has them!! Your walk must be going well or satan wouldn't bother with you!! Stay in the Word, put on the armour, my sister!!

As far as FB goes....I always ignore that garbage. My favorites are "hit like and share or you don't love Jesus". LOL How silly! Jesus doesn't want us to show our love for Him by doing what someone says on FB...He wants us to show our love by following Him, His commands, being a good witness for Him!

As far as your attacks in your sleep, you could pray that God places angels around your home to protect you, pray that God keep satan out of your dreams and thoughts in the mighty name of Jesus.

You have the authority to demand the enemy leaves!

The truths of God's Word are timeless, and chain messages are trash. All of them, even if they disguise themselves as Christian. While many contain good truths, the lie hidden within them is that not passing them along somehow indicates not loving God enough. Trash all chain messages, and get on with your day.

God tells us to not walk in fear. Because Satan has no power but the power you give him. Just walk in faith knowing you are a child of God and because of his power we cast out demons. So theres reason to be afraid. Just BELIEVE the word of God.

I believe that messages like that do have Demonic stuff involved with them, but take heart for Jesus said "I have overcome the world..." Therefore YOU have victory over the world and all of Satan's attacks. Bless you sister, and remember to keep healthy boundaries in your life. Pass everything in your life with Philippians 4:8. If it does not pass the test, have NOTHING to do with it.

Demons attack anyone getting closer to the Lord. It is good that you see these things for what they are.

No, there is ***nothing*** to chain letters.

To even consider otherwise is likely symptomatic of a demonic attack bypassing your radar.


They seem to rely on doing a lot of frontal attacks as a diversion, stuff like sexual accusations or ideas, grotesque imagery or words, and then get at your from other angles while one is diverted.

They do not acknowledge the power of Jesus Christ crucified as they should. It appears they are desperate these days.


That you are being relentlessly attacked at least does mean you are truly getting closer to the Lord and are not of them, but are an enemy of theirs.

Messages like that are done to prey on people. Most contain adware, viruses or get your email contacts. I got one the other day that was really bad, something like my children could die if I didn't click the message. You just have to know these people use fear tactics to prey on people. You should delete all this trash, not only to protect your PC, but to protect others from it. Sadly, I have an aunt that falls preys to all this crap, first thing she does is forward it to all her email contacts. I'm sure many like me deleted her from my contact list.

Your trusty delete button on Facebook should be used to get rid
of garbage-- do apply it to messages like that.

Learn to use the filtering thingy too!

My father always taught me never to do chain letters because when i was in school, you used to actually have to hand write them out but they used to be used by some people as REAL spells and curses like blackmail curses. Just stay away from it so when you meet someone who isnt playing around, you will already be in the habit of ignoring those sort of things.

Regarding the demonic images...trying fasting...and pray to God...even for half a day ..not even necessarily from food. God honors all sacrafice.

Thanks for all your advice. The chain message was attached to a picture on a general page the one I was on was Twilight page and was attached to a picture the whole is to attach this message to random pictures on pages with just a like button with it so it wasn't directed at me by a friend or email anyone can see this as it can be attached to any picture.

But I do believe that as my walk with the Lord gets stronger things from my past come back at me and this was probably one of them. I do spend way to much time on the internet and on my laptop also way to much time watching movies and other thing techey and I think what I need it to take advice from one post that said fasting could help so I think for awhile I'll be staying way from the techey stuff and get closer to the Lord and pray about the stuff im going through.

One thing that did hit me though last night was this I was reading me my bible I have the NIV Life Application one.
Revelation 21:7-8 7He who overcomes will inherit all this, and I will be his God and he will be my son. 8But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars- their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulphur. This is the second death.

These are the Notes that go with Verse 7:
People who overcome "stand firm to the end"(Mark 13:13), They will receive the blessing that God promised: (1) eating from the tree of life(2:7), (2) escaping from the lake of fire(the "second death", 2:11), (3) receiving a special name(2:17), (4) having authority over nations (2:26), (5) being included in the book of life(3:5), (6) being a pillar in God's spiritual temple(3:12), and (7) sitting with Christ on his throne(3:21).


Now this last bit hits home to me Those who can endure the testing of evil and remain faithful will be rewarded by God

I use to be all those things in verse 8 except being a murderer but then if you could insects then yeah I was all those things but not I'm not now and it does feel like all that stuff is coming back at me to test me.
