CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I'm okay, generally speaking. Although my life as a christian is messed up.I hate not being able to live my life more as a Christian, nor hanging around here more, spending more time on things that would help me grow closer to God, becoming more Christ-like. Sometimes it just feels like it's impossible to live as a Christian with a family where no one is Christian - I mean not even my mother's sister's husband's dad's brother is a Christian - no one. It's so annoying having to like suppressing the Christian part of my life. I mean if I want to read the Bible I either have to do it when my parents are asleep which means I'm pretty tired and it's a bad way of reading. Same when praying for a longer amount of time, I always have to be on my guard so that my parents won't suddenly step into the room. Not like something "bad" will happen if they do, but they are not Christian, they don't believe in any god. They simply see no reason in why I'm spending time praying, attending church and so on. They think I'm a bit crazy maybe and I can't take their patronizing comments. I hate when I'm leaving for church or something and they ask "where are you going" and I then have to explain that I'm going to church, and then have to explain why and so on.
I guess this is not the funniest thing to cheer you up with here, but it's nice to say it outloud sometimes.

Thanks for asking, princessmichal! My walk with God is glorious at this point - I am in the middle of a fast, and had an amazing time at a worship night at my church last night... where I had a chance to serve prophetically, which was just so great! How is your walk with God going?

My walk with God is awesome. Church yesterday was really good and youthgroup on friday night was great too. On October the 4th i will have read my bible each day for two years. yay!

I have pretty much been a christian my whole life as i live in a christian family. I have 12 siblings - all from the same parents! Everyone is a believer and we regularly attend church. What about you? What part in the bible are you reading at the moment?

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone! I have grown up baptist however I'm not sure what denomination I truly fall under. I will just have to pray on it and see where The Lord takes me. It's nice to see some young adults here, I am 17 myself.
