What do you guys think about the easy poll thing? Instead of the votes being tallied by me or someone else? Pros, cons?

Category ideas? How many?

The only drawback I can think of with the polls is that retracting/changing votes might be impossible.

Ideally everyone's vote would be their final say, but I know I have updated, edited, and revised my post in the CF Singles' Who's Who thread a few times.

People would just have to think before they vote then.
Or wait until the final day to do it.
Not a big deal IMO.

I like the idea of keeping votes anonymous anyway. Keeps things honest. People might be swayed to vote for someone if they know someone else is going to see who they voted for.

I mean, the votes were always kept anonymous. Only I knew who voted for whom, and I never told anyone the votes. A lot of the voters wanted to reveal their votes and that was totally up to them.

The way those things work is that someone would have to make a poll with all eligible females/males for the category. Eligible meaning active Singles poster. So to start off you could have a signup thread a post for girls and a post for guys that could be edited as people respond. That way only people who want to be eligible, will be. Then it would be easy to set up a poll and list all eligible options in each poll.

And about the anonymous thing... a vote isn't anonymous if even ONE person knows about it. Sure people can reveal after, I'm just talking about the actual voting process. I think an online poll would be much neater. And like with the link I posted, once the voting period is done it immediately posts the results so we could set a time for it to finish and announce it ahead of time and then waaalaaaa.

Lord of the Forest, thank you for going to all that trouble and posting all those.

I see where Keri is coming from, I'm fine with either way, however the majority wants to do the voting. We have plenty of time to figure it out though. But I would be interested in hearing all of your thoughts on the voting process.
