CF server problems - will take some time to fix

Actually there still seem to be a lot of problems of various kinds going on around CF, so hopefully we'll hear from Erwin or one of his team soon to let us know how the repair work is going

yep, still noticing slower page loads when we get to 1900+members online, and i found out that it's not just me.

I work for the hosting company that Erwin uses, Erwin is tied up right now, but please rest assured we are working as fast as we can to fix the server issues.

Anyway, Dan's the man for the servers. I think the search slave database server issues is causing the search bugs. Also some weird password problems for staff. I'll look into them myself.

Not only over 1900 does the problem start up. I've noticed it likes to happen in the very early morning too.

Okey dokey - I've fixed up the 3rd webserver which was playing up - Dan (and Steve) I've upgrade Apache to 2.2.x - also reinstalled PHP 5.1.x on all webservers so that it's not in CGI mode - also reinstalled APC on all webservers. Working fine now. Also added the ntpupdate clock sync in crontab for 3rd webserver to sync time.

I've also recalibrated the slave search database and restarted both db servers so now they are in sync again. Let's hope it stays that way!

It's late here (12:31 am) so time to sleep - need to go to work tomorrow!

Let me know if there are further problems. My apologies for the past few days of issues.

Dan/Steve - I installed memcached server on the image server and memcache on all webservers - just so you know - working better than APC!
