All you have to do is click LOGOUT and clear cookies in the browser tool bar. 2 clicks are that hard to do ??

Not to be facetious, but that takes five clicks in IE and Firefox. That's assuming that the options menu isn't locked down. If it is (hardly uncommon), then you're out of luck.

whatever. you just keep assuming that everyone is as smart and receptive to computers as you. that's fine. not everyone can remember everything and be as perfect with computers. Sorry the person didn't log out.

Thats really strange cause I use IE 6 and I only have to make 2 clicks to clear all my cookies and logout.
I also use firefox and mozilla.

no, one couls safely deduce that they fear complaining, given the sheer number of thread deletes & warnings given to people who protest injustice in a thread.
I think that's a stretch. I see that there are 1 158 members on line right now. I could be wrong, but I doubt that the majority of them fear the staff.

this thread attracts more people in favor of moderating of the mods then detractors to this dandy principle. It would appear YOU are in the vocal minority.

You can be in the vocal minority but still be in the majority.

I sometimes stay out of a discussion (it's difficult to believe but still true) simply because someone else presents points that I would make but don't see the necessity to repeat.

And some people stay out of a discussion because they don't feel at ease to state their opinion publicly.

<-- moderator hat,

This is an announcement thread, where Erwin has announced changes to CF and the appeals process.

There may be better places to discuss the deficiencies of Firefox and IE regarding the ease of clearing cookies, techniques for logging out, and user security. The "report Bugs" forum is such a place.

Please remain on topic, so that this thread can remain open and garner as much valuable feedback as possible.

I agree. I was about to say that myself. :) (it's annoying trying to find out any details after this was made the unofficial chat box.)

Well I for one, haven't gotten any major warnings lately because I find the forums that these problems occur in annoying. I just feel that some people take things too seriously in there. Don't even try to say I'm talking about anyone in particular because I barely visit those certain forums anymore so it's just a general observation.

Or maybe this is the majority of posters that don't have a problem cause they don't violate the rules ??
No one can safely deduce anything. It is all speculation.

I know many people here that have been here since CF started and have never gotten a edit request or anything. It all depends on how the member wants to post.

I was like that for 2 years as a Christian and even a moderator here. But, the rules keep getting longer, and more expanded and with the forum specific rules and how strict it is on posting on certain issues (the gay issue specificially) conversation is limited and stiffled. No flaming wasn't enough, it had to be made so specific that you can't even call what someone states silly any longer, even if it is. I don't know about you Iddie but limiting conversation to this degree in real life would bore me to tears. Frankly between being afraid I'll break some rule, or the spirit of it somehow has kept me away for months and months at a time. That and the boring stiffled conversation that is so unlike real life too.
