Haha, I haven't read the comics, but still thought Toby was the perfect Spider-Man.All I know is that they're wrong lol. I loved MJ and Harry especially. The dynamics of their relationship was perfect to me. I had coworkers who were marvel fans as well and we always argued about this because they said Toby didn't fit the comics or whatever ... I liked them a little bit less after that
To be fair I have only watched The Amazing Spider-Man. I didn't hate it but I just couldn't attach myself to the new franchise... The newest Spider-Man looks iffy. I'm glad someone agrees with me![]()
Haha, I haven't read the comics, but still thought Toby was the perfect Spider-Man.The movie may not have matched the comics exactly, but it still had that comic book feel and was very entertaining. I could really identify with Toby's version of Peter Parker, but not so much in the new movies. I also love the backyard seen in Spider-Man 2, when Peter is helping his aunt pack so she can move. You almost can tell that Aunt May knows his secret, and Peter's reaction is subtle yet says so much; I thought the acting was great. Supposedly, that does match up with the comics as well.
The new Peter / Spider-Man just wasn't that identifiable; he didn't seem like the underdog everyone wanted to succeed. But, the original Spider-Man, and especially Spider-Man 2, will always be two of my favorite movies of all time.![]()
I haven't read the comics either but my dad has a few of them and tells me about the alternate universes. I agree, it's entertaining and the acting was great. I love this scene in SM3, hahaha

agreed, the OG's will always hold a special place in my heart too![]()
Agreed lolSpider-Man 3 may not be the greatest Spiderman movie but it did bless us with that scene.

reminds me of gangnam style (I hate that meme/song)
It was a nice novelty song and I actually bought the song and music video. However, I have to agree that it received far more attention than it deserved.

Same. I never understood why people liked Gangnam style ..
Aww, I love Gangnam Style and Psy because for a shining moment it made Americans interested in kpop and I could play all my kpop music without weird looksI also love how all of Psys chart grabbers are mocking some ridiculous aspect of culture (rich Korea, drinking culture, or toolbag guys who think they're nice) in such a way it goes over their heads and we can have the little inside joke to ourselves
