CF going through some network problems...

Hi all

Sorry for the slowdown in CF over the past hour - the data center technicians are working on the problem - I think it's fixed now, but will keep you updated.

Okay, we've discovered that Apache is not as efficient in handling heavy loads as lighttpd, but a lot more stable.

One of the web servers got overloaded which overloaded all the other ones, hence a mini-crash occurred. This has been resolved.

We're trying to work out a better load-balancing solution as well as optimize Apache better.

The site's going quite fast for me at the moment after I tweaked Apache. Let's see how it goes.

The 1 web server is still playing up and is currently down - the techs are looking at it in the datacenter.
