..My MIL wrinkles her nose and says "Oh so you can't afford Pull Ups." I babysat a boy for a couple months who used those. They stink like some perfume smell and leak more than the cloth.
I have used Fuzzi Bunz size small and bumGenius One Size pockets for newborn.I have been thinking alot about using cloth nappies from birth next time. I only started using cloth at about 6 weeks with Maddie. But I would really like to use cloth from the beginning with number 2.
So, what are the best sorts of nappies for newborns? I'm thinking prefolds would be a good and economical way to go, considering how many they go through in a day (all that poop!!!). I don't want to use terry flats though.
What brands are good?
Can you snappi a cotton prefold? Can you get different material prefolds?
What covers go best over them?
Has anyone used the Bambino Mio prefolds before?
Sorry about the thousands of questions!
That shouldn't be happening. I've had my current inserts for 18 months and the stitching is just fine on them.My nappies arrived and yesterday I washed them for the first time so that I could start using them. As I was hanging them out to dry I noticed that the inserts of both the BumGenious AND the Haute have come apart at the seams a little bit.
I'm very disappointed, has this happened to anyone else?
I have to decide what to say to the company now, I want to get a refund!
Angelsgirl - you can get prefolds in cotton, hemp, bamboo and various types of weaves. I am a fan of good ol' unbleached Indian cotton prefolds. I got mine from www.little-lions.com Many CD moms swear by www.greenmountaindiapers.com prefolds.
My favorite covers hands down (and I've tried them all) are Thristies. Oh, and I love wool, too.
